I know it's football season. But this year's baseball team is gonna be special. I've never seen as much talent.

Every position we are stacked..

I’ve screaming the same thing, baw. Easily the most size and athleticism since 2006 and probably a deeper team.

ETA: I need more coffee. I thought he was talking about Wade and basketball I do agree this is Jay’s deepest team and probably the most pro talent LSU has ever had but wrong sport for my original post.

Proof? Or you just woke up feeling this way? Sorry if being cynical but this was said about last year’s team too.

Tell us about the pitching. I dont follow off season much but I do know that without top level pitching we wont make it far into post season

That's a very declarative statement - You are saying this team has more talent than any LSU team of the past 40 years?

I mean I'm not saying you are wrong, but how many players are returning from a team that didn't even make the field of 64 last year? And are the new additions that talented - i mean - we allegedly had the best transfer portal class in baseball last year per folks who rate those things for a living.

The pitching is still the big unknown right now
Haven’t seen some of the top pitchers yet
How will the rotation shake out
Figure out who gives you the best chance to win on Friday night which is key in the sec cause it’s rough sledding when you drop that first game

Moore Evans L Schmidt haven’t toed the rubber yet

Honestly, football, basketball, and baseball.

The talent on the basketball team is solid this year but the haul they are bringing in next year is amazing.

Football is amazing. For a hastily put together team with primarily portal players, the talent and the way they fit together is amazing.

I don’t know about baseball but I believe it.

LSU is the place players want to be. Because they can win and no doubt the pay is right. But the number of players leaving here for pro careers will be high so people will want to come here for that as well.

By who exactly?

Last years roster had to replace both weekend starters and 3 infielders.

We say this every year. So hold your horses and let’s allow the season to start first, then play out

Well this coming season does fit within Jay Johnson’s pattern of sucking arse then winning a title then sucking arse — now we’re entering the winning a title phase again.

Every year. Every year half a dozen pitchers get hurt and we can’t find 3 reliable starters.
