Alabama is a good team despite dropping a few lately. They had the best player on the floor, Shackleford controlled the pace for the most part,

When Days left the game lsu had 3 guys that could even score the ball. Shareef & Justice Williams in a perfect world wouldn’t even see minutes in a game like this.

LSU has a bunch of moron fans so they don't even know wtf they're looking at.

They don't see a set play where tari sets a pick for Gaines and Gaines attacks the rim and a shooter pops open for three.

They see Gaines trip and turn it over and then start crying like little bitches that we never run set plays

Last play of game after free throws by Bama (clock stopped before he shot and plenty of communication time for set play call)
Yet, the plan was playground kids stuf...hand it in under basket, and have someone go against man press and double, and shoot a 30 footer...no passing, no screens, no preparation...nothing
this was my beef too. We inbounded to Gaines 90 feet from the basket and just made him dribble quickly to get off a shot. Not a bad shot, actually, but we had NO PLAY on that last sequence. Nothing.

Hell, when I was in high school eons ago, we had multiple full court end-of-game plays. It's simple stuff, really.

call a TO then or try for long inbound and TO at half court to set up a play. That's the conventional wisdom.

We had a huddle before the free throws....it should have been set play there and personnel needed put in game.

Wait...you are saying a "drawn up play" would have resulted in a better look than what Gaines had at the end of the game. Pray tell which "play" would have resulted in a better look than the one that Gaines got. He basically got an open look in nearly the same spot he previously knocked down 3 3's. 3 point line is 22 feet and we had to take a 3. He shot it from 25 probably. What would you have drawn up, Wooden?

Bama is so inferior they beat Number 1 Gonzaga in Washington and beat Number 10 Houston. We didn't have 2 of our starters and still had a shot in the air to send it to overtime. You ok?

We needed Alabama to shoot 0% from 3 in the second half and miss 9 FTs to have a chance due to our complete lack of a plan on offense.

Seems like great fricking defense to me especially since 9 free throws came on 25 to 10 fouls

The fact we were in that game against two of the best 3 point shooters in the nation while missing our 2 senior leaders is impressive

The knives are coming out because folks saw this team touted a a F4 product. Saw them run roughshod over weaker teams. Believed that this season would be different.

It’s basketball man. It is what it is. If they do well, great. If they don’t, that’s fine also.

You mean the falling forward to step back off balance jack he sent up?

Yeah, I think a drawn up play would've gotten a better look.

If there's anything you could pin blame on with Wade it's the lack of recruiting offensively developed players. I think for a long time his teams trended to far towards offense, and he has sort of leaned to far in the other direction so now we have a bunch of guys who can defend, but not score. This team would have been loads better with Adam Miller, but you still need more than just one guy that can really put the ball in the hoop.

Not you but just watch this tidal wave attitude on this board. One day we need to build WW a new arena and extend his contract. The next…”he will never be Dale Brown and Woodward needs to have a plan for getting rid of him.” It’s astonishing.

It's not the whole board that does this. There is a group that loves Will Wade but there also is a group for whatever reason that hates him. Any time we lose the second group comes out of the shadows with stupid threads about how over rated he is

Hey Taint the 3 was shot by someone who was 3/4 on 3s that got the team back into the game. The hot hand. Who happens to be the guy that brings the ball up court 90% of the time. The look was good and it wasn't extremely long. It just didn't go. The opposite court video showed exactly how close it was after the game was over. Why so much hate for WW and this team?

I played basketball 6 years in Jr high and HS. I've watched LSU starting in 1981 and been a huge basketball fan. But, we are uneducated because we disagree with you on how good this team is and how good Will Wade is. Can he be very good? Sure. Has he earned the level where he is beyond critique, with only 1 trny win? Lol

Of all of the things to criticize, this is absolutely asinine

The fact that you said that shows you don’t watch. Bama is a top 10 offense and we area top notch defense.

You want Johnny Jones again? When’s the last time LSU basketball has been this prominent and winning? No recent college teams have had dynasties in BB. Even Duke/Coach K loses to unranked teams with healthy rosters.
