Who was the Georgia QB when Orgeron became LSU Head Coach? Jake Fromm!
Who was the freshman Ga QB that transferred to Ohio St because he new that he was the better QB? Ugh, Fields?
Who was the hot shot QB at Georgia when Stetson Bennett transferred in. Where is the "Hot Shot" now?
Nobody knows. Bennett has a chance to win his second Championship.
What about Tua replacing Hurts at Alabama? It worked out well for both.

If the incumbent plays like shite and a new player is playing fantastically and the coach goes with the incumbent then the coach should be fired if he sucks. Je went with a known object who wasn't performing vs someone new who was showing improvement

I've never played the position, so I admit I'm not all that up on it. Which is why I welcome the fact that you, who have many years of playing QB, have come here to enlighten us.
BTW exactly how many years have you played QB and where?
TIA

This is how i know you did not watch the games or even look at stats
bad using what metrics? eye test? reading a d? throwing downfield? or just all around stats where the short shite usually beefs up his numbers?
He had issues in most all games using the eye test method.
he was bad all around in AU and arky games and was not good in TAMu game via many metrics. and that is including ALL passing stats even short to help you out!
now go back and only look at intermediate and deep ball % stats and get back to me for all games.

The real battle is between second or third string. Let’s hope they get equal reps. There is no doubt in my mind JD is the penciled in starter as he should be. The loser of that battle for 2nd will transfer.
Keep in mind that Brennan was stealing reps last Spring and at the beginning of Fall camp. I'd say the loss of reps to Brennan definitely did not help Nuss's development.

none of that directly means anything you think it does. the problem was coach O kept running his fricking mouth in front of a mic about things that weren't necessarily true.

that's great but its not really a good response to why he regressed
You said in games that mattered that was the most important game except UGA.

Joe Burrow got better and better in 2018.
And he’s a generational talent we are not likely to see again so quit holding people to that standard

I’m pretty sure any prior starting QB who’s had at the very least a slightly above average year has never lost his job the next spring.
Jalen Hurts lost his job in the middle of the national title game and was the returning SEC POY. It’s not common but it definitely happens. Similar thing happened with Booty/Davey. Booty just declared for the draft before actually losing an offseason battle to Davey. Booty was 1st team All-SEC in 2000

Daniels regressed substantially at the end of the year when it mattered most in some difficult elements.
When it was freezing and our team had the flu or when he was injured? You think the coaches wont take those things into account? He was playing great up until arkansas game, had just played really well against bama and ole miss

Coaches never think a backup who has never played real snaps is the best option.
That’s just not true, it’s just more often then not the previous starter is the best option at the time.

The coaches have to be convinced and they don’t want to make risky decisions, unfortunately.
Yes shocking that the guy who’s job is actually on the line goes with the guy he think gives him the best chance to win instead of the “what if” imagination of fans.

More likely the incumbent starts the next year, plays like shite or gets injured, then replaced mid-season...but to forego the draft, come back & lose your spot in spring... I can't really recall a situation like that.

Break it down for me since you feel I should be banned.

Pay attention to the context. This was in reference to the end of the season.

It’s possible Jason Williams was the 2 star recruit for the Eastern Michigan Eagles LINK

There will always be the “he has experience” and “we got to the SEC championship with him” and it’s the “safer option”.
All three of these are legit reasons to start the guy. Just because you don’t like them doesn’t mean they aren’t legit.

Except in that Georgia game where he was statistically better than Nuss in every category.
Oh and that A&M game where he was absolutely good enough to win that game. It’s not his fault the defense decided to give up more points than A&M had scored against any other opponent all year.

Works like this. QB that is best option to win starts.
This is what happened last year and it’s what will happen next year. The coaches are NOT holding any of the QBs on the roster back. If they aren’t starting, it’s because they are not better than the guy in front of them.
