I didn’t like the response… but sometimes the question hits different depending on who asks it…. The guy that asked it wanted the UF coach to have the job and has been a pissy troll since it didn’t happen.. the question, on its own merit, was fine… but I’ve wanted to say a lot worse to gilbeau than that so…. I’m pretty neutral….

Most coaches now days have their online pawns
Kelly’s be no different.
He’s being obstinate

And Michael bonnette over his shoulder laughing. What a crazy reaction by both of them. Why so tight & defensive after a win, Coach? You look like a nut job. And I like you, generally.

I expect a warm apology on Monday, btw.

I want him to say:
"Look, that's an elite front we faced. And we came out the other side. We'll get to work and continue to improve. I think they guys did well, particularly late when it was time to salt the game, but there's room to improve. We know we need to convert a few more 3rd downs to give the defense some time but we're happy we're where we're at today and know we'll keep getting better."

The offensive line is an embarrassment.

Have you ever seen the “GOAT” post game press conferences, Saban ridiculed every question from every reporter. Sure he earned it, but in the one of the most famous lines of all time in pgpc “ You play to win the game!” Absolutely the offense has to play better but I rather the Coach chastise a reporter then to throw his QB & OC under the bus. We get that 24/7 right here. We’re 3-0, this summer anybody with any gumption would’ve taken No matter how it looks. There’s time, but if we were 1-2, 2-1 the MELTING would be astronomical.

Starting to believe that as well. They are some dense mofos and hope they aren’t in a position of authority in their jobs.
If they failed this spectacularly in their job, they’d be fired. Nothing different here.
Just wait until we lose, they’ll come over to our side.

No it wasn’t- y’all just don’t understand a few things:
1) The dude was raised back in the day within the orbit of Boston. Living up here for quite a while - Calcasieu Parish native. I can tell you that was about as polite as some of these Boston Irish ever get. If that hurts your feelings, I suggest you never venture past the Mason/Dixon Line.
2) The dude has won 316 games as a college coach, I think he understands what is needed to win a game.
3) Perhaps most importantly, he was talking to his players in the locker room - having their backs. I swear, some of you negaTigers bitch if he even hints at calling them out and now cry like little babies if he sticks up for them.
4) Is it a fair line of questioning to investigate whether this offense is gonna be championship level? Of course (the D looks to be already there). But don’t expect a future HOF coach to suffer fools gladly. He was gonna tee off on whoever broached that topic, especially if the guy was determined to be combative.
Finally, let’s see what happens the next two games when they aren’t playing against two tough defensive units and a sandwich/let down game. If they don’t rise to the occasion over that span, I may start crying too.
Thanks for listening; that is all…

it was the FIRST question after a hard fought win and he was proud of his team
So?
He has a team that is positioned to win this thing. Obviously, people want to understand what’s going on with the part that may prevent that.
And if his answer was, “we weren’t great but overall I’m proud of this team finding a way to win” that would have been fine.
Kelly has shown over and over again that he’s terrible in front of the microphone. He’s really bad at that part of the job.

It is not his players' faults, it is him and his staff for rolling out that crappy O.

I have never seen so many people give a shite about a post game presser. Holy shite.
Because most coaches don’t make complete asses out of themselves pitching an adolescent-like fit over an inquiry.
Saban had more disdain for the media than anyone, but he didn’t don’t act like an angry 13 year old. He also had complete and dominant teams. Something else CBK is lacking.

BK gets a bit defensive at times.

With the weapons and qb we have, it’s inexcusable how anemic and unimaginative this offense is. If it doesn’t improve, Sloan needs to go. I realize he’s a good recruiter, but what good is it when the offense is like this?

Stuck up for his offensive guys, something most love to point out he doesn’t do. It is a shite first question after a sec rival win.
