What’s your point?

You don’t need a Taj Mahal to win championships.

Baseball is not a huge moneymaker, and the money they have gotten has mostly gone for improvements that attract, and train players.

For instance the coach now wants an indoor infield. That will come before a berm for boiling crayfish.

Went to the Dude in 24 for the LSU series. The Saturday game the stadium was maybe half capacity. It’s a great place to watch a game but they rarely pack it.

I want them to allow crawfish boils on an outfield berm so bad. It would be awesome to see 100 boiling pots steaming in left field!

This is the kind of cultural thing that makes college sports amazing.

No one is saying that.

Last time I was there was in the late 90’s and the outfield just behind the wall, instead of stadium seats it was filled with old run down rv’s and buses with seats precariously built on top and country bumpkins all grilling meats. It seems like they paved over all that now. I’m sure it wasn’t up to code, but it had charm.

Breaking News at 11! Our has-been Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field is an embarrassment to our 8 championships.

Just let the governor know, he's not busy cleaning up shithole Louisiana cities but he has time to do everyone's job at LSU

Not really. He said it was a Saturday game vs LSU. Alex Box is going to be close to full capacity for a Saturday game vs the defending national champs.

There were about as many at the box tonight for practice.

Lol that was during BP. It’s not 15k but it’s way more than we’re at the box tonight.

This is hilarious...you expect people to pack it out for exhibition games? Lol...only reason Miss St had that many is because it was the only thing going on in town

‘That everybody wants millions in upgrades but nobody ever wants to write the check to make it happen.

Well yeah I don’t have millions of dollars to donate. I probably won’t ever have millions of dollars to donate. Should I never want any upgrades to any LSU sports stadiums/arena as for the rest of my life since I can’t donate the money for them?

It’s probably about as effective as hoping someone else does.

Focus is NIL not facilities at this point so my guess is facility upgrades that were king just 4 or 5 years ago are probably a thing of the past. Box is obviously plenty good enough to win Natties.

So I’m stuck with Alex Box, Tiger Stadium, and the PMAC as they are now for the next 50 years?

Recent history shows that many of the improvements have been tied to a money making plan.

Tiger Stadium- suites, club levels, beer sales
Alex Box- club seating and suites
Pmac- new arena tied to a developer.
