I imagined that was a mix of the aggression of Ray Lewis and the voice of prince

He needs to talk to the team before every game.

It highlights the coaching problem we have.

Our "turning point" for the team is Duke Riley chewing the team out? What does Coach O even do? Is he that soft that he can't motivate his own team?

Why are we paying Coach O so much money, if he needs other people to motivate the team? Clearly, he can't call plays. He doesn't know defense. He's an average defensive line coach.

So what is his value add here at LSU exactly?

Can't we just hire a random person from the Rant to be "Head Coach" for 100K a year? We would see absolutely no dropoff. My vote is for Owlfan as he's my favorite poster.

I get where you're coming from, but sometimes a different voice from someone younger can be 10x more powerful than anything a coach could say.

Don't quite get the Prince voice reference, he probably had a deeper voice than either of us. Maybe you meant Michael Jackson?

So happy for a guy like Duke that was part of the program and was willing to come back to help as he could.

With that said, the staff should have done that.

It's kinda like your kid not listening to you as a parent but they listen to the same message coming from someone else.

You do realize that coaches pay people hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to come in and give pep talks like that before big games, right?

Hell even Saban does it. Players get tired of hearing the same message from the same people for 11 months a year.

That was my idea. I suggested they just go down to Richards Honda, hire their top salesman, double his pay and call him the HC.

No one ever thinks it's a problem to have someone speak to the team, until LSU fans on tigerdroppings find out Coach O did it.

So if this is true O’s message must be weak to have worn so thin after 4 or 5 weeks. 3.5 for four pep talks and not talking to coordinators. Gotcha

It just seems like Orgeron is picking out tricks from a bag to motivate this team. At what point is the team going to play to win because they're freaking LSU and that's what they're supposed to do?
