I truly believe he thought he could come here and win while having things on cruise control

He was able to coast the first two years with the talent recruited by the previous staff and the retention of Brad Davis to keep Campbell and Jones in the fold.

I'll give him props for Daniels even though I think Denbrock and Jayden's private QB coach had much more to do with that.

BK was all in until Kirby took his man hood in that 2022 SEC Championship game. Never recovered after that beat down!

As I referred to, at the beginning of this season, with very few exceptions, the fans were very happy with the overall state of the program. Many times referencing our depth and quality recruiting/portal activities. There was simply no outward signs of the softness of the program. Should Woodward have known, maybe?? But all the boxes were being checked for what you brought Kelly in to do, or so it seemed.

I remember seeing that, and it just pissed me off to no end.

One of the worst head coaches that LSU ever hired, especially his last few years in Baton Rouge. I would rank Kelly with Hallman.

Surprisingly it's 100% grammaticly correct-- it's just missing a few essentials.

Your drinking (of) the Kool-Aid: (that's the) way to (an) early (demise).

Seeing Lane on the road the last few days recruiting and having photos taken with recruits makes me ask this question: Did Kelly EVER go on the road to recruit? It seems he did all his recruiting from BR. Recruits came to him, not vice versa.

He actually won.. won the division.. a few 10 win seasons. I truly think he thought it was a plug n play type thing. That LSU would automatically have more talent than his ND teams that fell just short of championships.. but without the grind there's too many good sec coaches that will beat you.. as we all saw..

Glad it was short lived. The loss to USC to start year 3 was the beginning of the end.

I blame the idiotic guaranteed contract.

Gave a retirement age coach, a contract where he gets paid the same win or lose.

I blame Phat Scott for greatly overpaying BK and then trying to run the program himself in year 4. Worst AD in college as pertains to him throwing out $ right and left when it was not necessary. Did he think a different program was going to swipe BK away before he could hire him??

If your in awe of how bad Brian Kelly was, then you must be down right flabbergasted at how bad McMahon is. I mean at least Kelly won a few games went to a bowl game, had LSU in the top 25,had a Heisman trophy winning Quarterback, and didn't finish last in the SEC. Although not good Kelly looks ok when you compare him to McMahon 15-45 in the SEC. No tournaments, last or 2nd to last place finishes, yet McMahon is on his 4th year in charge of the Men's basketball program. Something smells and it's time to throw out the garbage, throw out McMahon!!!

Prepare to downvote me.

I don’t care about men’s basketball. Or women’s.
