I am sick and tired of the empty seats in the student section / west side

Both those sections are nearly empty after half time in a one possession night game against Florida.. absolutely embarrassing and unacceptable.
LSU needs to invest in some sort of Geo fencing devises / technology on their paper tickets & electronic tickets. This can easily be done. First time you are out of the vicinity of Death Valley you are warned. The next time you lose your tickets for the rest of the year (they are recirculated on the secondary market to fill with people who actually want to be there). Third offense you are banned for 3 years. Simple as pie..

On tv, it sounded loud the whole game

Bama puts most of their student section in south upper deck.

They showed the lower west side once and quickly panned away. Think it was the third quarter. Looked half empty to me. I don't normally complain about this and I know those people pay good money for those seats.
But fricking give them away if you aren't going to the game.

Wow you’re not a capitalist and don’t sound like a season ticket holder. If you are, it seems as though you’re stressing your family’s finances for football tickets

Do the same for season ticket holders. It’s very obvious that half the people those areas left at half time too. Such a waste. You’d think they want to enjoy JD’s performance as much as possible.

It does show that the die-hards are in either EZ, while the “old money” or corporate “give-aways” are in the west/east sideline seats. Saw it in person last night. Halftime, and people didn’t refill those chair back seats.

Was there to the zeroes, and it’s sad to see fans leaving in 3Q of a game we could have blown. Still sounded pretty loud in 4Q. Hey, if people want to miss out on JD setting an all time record then whatever. I’m not sure how to keep fans in the seats without getting creative. I don’t think going draconian is the way.

Who cares what you think. They can do what the hell they want with their ticket

Yup end zones brought it per usual but west side & student section continue to be a joke

Or our fans can watch the fricking game they pay for.
That would fix the empty seat problem
It’s the whole stadium. Bunch of entitled housewives running the show in too many sections.

Most students do sell or give them away, but most of the students that go show up take some pictures and then leave around halftime to make the walk to tigerland

Felt like about 20-25% of the students left at halftime.
Now, it should be noted that because the students pack themselves in tighter than the labeled seats, it looks WAY less full than it would be if they all sat in assigned seats.
I really didn't think the crowd had that much energy, but it could be because my section was kind of dead. I expected fury from the fans after the targeting.

Best way to have fans at the game:
Not be 6-3
Not be 6-3

This is hilarious. No sports team will ever do anything like this. You don’t like empty seats in the 2nd half? Do this and you won’t have fans showing up to those seats at all.

We actually should give more tickets to students. They’re just walking to tiger land. Everyone else bitches and moaning about traffic (justifiable). Baton Rouge and lsu need to figure it out. Hopefully, woody and pres can move us in the right direction

I stayed until the end. Walked to my truck and drove straight out. Traffic wasn't even bad.

Yeah, but you see, there's reasons for those people leaving early.
Their kids were tired because the parents had them on campus all day tailgating, it was possible that it might rain, they wanted to leave early to get to a bar before the best seats were taken, they were told at halftime there might be some traffic after the game, and besides, they didn't like the concessions and hadn't eaten in 45 minutes and needed to get to a restaurant because they had work or classes on Monday.
