re: HVL looks just like she did at LSU. Where is this improvement?

my biggest complaint with her at LSU is she forgot how to shoot.

I don't know. Maybe it's bc she is averaging 5 points more per game. Nearly more in every statistic possible. Looks like she has improved but again why the hate? Don't say you don't hate bc you are watching one part of a game and saying " look she is turning it over. She is the same". Bc literally one game out of 30 plus makes a whole difference. She was also the MOP of the Big12 tournament.
I'm not a defender of hers. I don't watch basketball. This thread did not need to happen. Just let a player who left LSU and having success and having fun be.

Imagine if someone watched Flau’jae’s game against NC State and judged her entire season off of it

Did any of the HVL naysayers actually watch the Notre game Saturday? WTF?
HVL destroyed Hidalgo and Miles, took them to the rack, stripped or tied up some of their drives, out-physicalled them, and killed their will down the stretch at winning time. She & the Center Prince carried TCU on their backs.

Girl had wide open looks constantly because of this and brick after brick. They could have passed her the ball more but I do think for some reason she lost all of her confidence coming to LSU. Big fish in a small pond type of deal.

I’m not “hating.” I’m “Keeping it real.” I never saw a great player when she was here, but this board (probably you included) said how much we could have used her this year. Today is my first time watching her play so I want to know where the improvement is. She looks the same . So you provided a blind link. You said she’s averaging 5 more points a game. Cool. What’s her shooting avg? How many turnovers is she committing per game? I can’t believe that some of you guys take that as “HATE.” I guess we are still in the sugar coating to protect people’s feelings mode. Hopefully another few months will strengthen some of you up.

people constantly make it out more than it needs to be but she was a bad fit. Thats it. Shes obviously a good player. If She would have come back to LSU she could have come off the bench as a 2 guard and killed it but obviously she wasnt going to do that.

Well this would be the same except that HVL played at LSU so we have an entire year of a sample size. Now watching her for my first time since she left LSU she looks the same. Still turning the ball over a bunch and playing slow on defense. Maybe I should have directed this to all the people from yesterday that were saying how much we could have used her? However I’m sure a bunch are commenting in this thread

Look at any my posts idiot and say where I said anything about basketball players being needed for either men or women.
I don't watch basketball. I don't watch TCU if I did. It looks like she is having fun compared to last year. The link is about her stats this year compared to previous years.
If you are going to keep it "real" , then say what she has done in every game this year rather than cherry picking one game and a few possessions.
Read my posts clearly. I'm not a defender but unwarranted hate on a player is juvenile. I provided stats. You don't want to see them that is your choice. You provide speculation.

She was a bad fit at LSU. HVL requires the ball in her hands, and at times slows an halfcourt set, and is more a right hand layup slasher with solid FT extension midrange. LSU has plenty of waterbug rack slashers in hand.
Plus, she clearly went to work and has slightly wrenched up her consistency.
Five straight Elite 8s..she either picks starstudded destinations like a Nostradamus..or maybe just maybe she is an excellent collegian..regardless of her questioned projectable WNBA limitations.

This game is funny to me. Texas defense is bullying the hell out of TCU, but their offense can't capitalize.

Ok then how can you have an opinion on this?

That's how Texas games are. Booker's SEC POY is so fricking fraudulent.

Rumor here was she wasn't a fit because she was tasked with basically playing PG and wasn't a natural at that, that she is a "shooter". Hell, TCU has her playing PG.

PG at LSU was distributor focused because the rest of the lineup was better. At TCU running point the offense is built around her just like at Louisville.

Clearly reading is not your forte. You are just being obtuse at this point. Go back and really read and comprehend my posts to understand why I am responding to your posts.
Then get back with me to make sure you have understood the assignment.

Maybe because the two situations aren’t comparable. Trey Palmer went from being an average backup at LSU to breaking records at Nebraska

She not good on defense, makes bad passes regularly but she can score points when she gets to jack up a bunch of shots

I don't watch all their games, but I do wonder if this is still true.
I am genuinely interested to see how she does in the pros or if she even stays in the league.
Texas is finally separating. This game went about as expected.
