"Technically today he is ineligible, not because of the ruling, because of something different when it comes to the NCAA that he's working through," Sarkisian said Monday. "But as I said before, we are respecting the SEC's decision and once he can get cleared and if he gets cleared from the NCAA, then we'll go back to the SEC and what does that look like?"

Sarkisian said he believes Hutson's case is different from the debate about NFL players returning to college because he essentially was in two tryouts but never signed a professional contract. "

He falls under a little different caveat," Sarkisian said. "We'll leave it up to the NCAA and then we'll leave it up to the SEC to determine if he's eligible to play for us or not."
Wtf does this even mean?

He's listed on their roster, so I'm confused.

I’m over being upset about this drama. We came out in a position where the SEC and NCAA can’t touch us, and they’re finally erring towards some consistency for the added touch. If we get our two guys great. If not great.

It means they are trying to stop all the questionable players except chambliss.

So what if it takes a few months to decide? The point will be moot. So stupid

My guess is what I always thought would stop this madness, which is academic eligibility.

Most players are on the bare minimum for requirements towards their degrees to remain eligible with perhaps a class or two buffer. If the kid didn’t go to classes in the Spring and then Summer to make it up, he should be ineligible.

Who knows though. Could be Sark trying to cover for the fact he rostered an ineligible player.

Is the NCAA/SEC starting to realize how fricked they are if the single out and penalize LSU for this?

Lol

You dont think the sec is telling him what to do?..was probably their idea to say "say it was something else". It will just go away. They ain't punishing Texas

Until Sark gets suspended for 6 games and Texas gets sued by the SEC for conducting a campaign against the SEC then there is no consistency.

They have deliberately rostered him.

Afterward, U.S. District Judge Charlotte Sweeney granted players such as Hutson the right to play another year of college sports.

Why mention this without failing to mention that the appeals court ruled in favor of NCAA and issue a stay of execution against her injunction,

It means “It’s ok for me but not for thee.”

It’s section 1:3 of the SEC bylaws
