The only thing I’ve argued is the false shite you have said about his outings.
YOU were wrong, you said all his outings were ended early "by design" and argued he was never given the opportunity to extend. Obviously they would have loved to see a Sunday starter from the get go extend to show he can stay there at SOME point. Should be obvious.
If Shores performed in extended innings to this point he would have stayed a weekend starter more than likely. He just hasn't.

Find where I said all of his outings were cut short by design
The guy said Shores can barely last 2innings.
The response I made to that was a simple, general statement.
You were wrong now this is getting stupid. This dumb shite does not stimulate me at all

Shores has a .79 ERA and his outing length has been by design
That wasn't hard, pages later, you admit he also got pulled for simply being in trouble in half his starts, which is obviously not 'by design'. As in predetermined or pitch count.
If you simply didn't say dumb things and then argue with people pointing them out then admit you were wrong in the most discreet backhanded way you really wouldn't have this problem.
Still laughing at you downplaying a start where a guy went through a complete lineup twice and gave up zero hits, zero runs in the process over 5 innings. Do you seriously think anyone buys that act? I mean come the fk on. It's OK to admitvwhen you say something completely wrong and it gets pointed out without all the goalposts moving and arguing back and forth.

Eh, he’s pitches 3.1, 2, 3.2, 2.1 innings and faces 14, 9, 17 and 10 batters. Its an odd plan

Sammy, two of those were early hooks by design. You guys need to pay attention more

Hurd is the #2 imo. Pretty easily.

Before today Floyd’s off speed stuff was great. His slider and his change up is light years better than last year. He just needs to calm down a little and he’ll be fine. He might not be a 7 inning starter right now but he can easily give us 5 or 6 great innings and possibly 7 on good days. The umpires strike zone was all over the place.
He was giving it more to the right side than the left but he’d call same pitch balls/ strikes on the right, then he’d call balls and strikes for the same pitch on each side the next at bat. So you’d see him come back to it after the call was given to him and then it’s called a ball the very next pitch. I think he just got rattled and reverted to the fastball more because of it. But then on top of that he had to keep it on the inner plate of both sides so they hit him better of course. He still didn’t get ripped.
With a decent strike zone we could have beaten A&M 18–3 today. It was the weirdest damn strike zone. That’s hard to be consistent for any pitcher. He and Garrett just don’t walk that many guys and today both walked a lot of guys, probably both season highs. Garrett struck that last guy out 3 times but he ends up walking because of this strike zone. It looked pretty bad on TV. Last night wasn’t great either but it was at least more consistent. Consistently small for Skenes and he still dominated. Even he had a little bit of trouble finding where the strike zone was though. They just couldn’t hit that dude because he’s got so many weapons. Imo both umpires gave A&M a better chance to score with their strike zones.
I realize it’s normal to have umps like that but many times you’ll see the umpire kinda open things up after the 1st or 2nd inning. Especially when they see the pitcher is dominating, no matter what he does or when they see the pitcher can adjust to whatever strike zone was given earlier in the game. Hurd has been quite inconsistent with misses as well. I think all 3 will get better as well as Shores. Shores has already gotten better. If this team isn’t the best team I’ve seen at LSU, then it’s top 2 or 3 and the distance isn’t far between them all.
They’re really talented, everywhere!!! These guys are special! Tommy White might be the best overall hitter on the team, even when it comes to hitting for contact. He and Crews are close. Kling got hosed by these last 2 umpires. He didn’t adjust very well but that was a huge adjustment from what we were getting the last 10 games to what we got the last 2 games. He’ll be fine.

It's splitting hairs right now. Hurd maybe ends up being better when the dust settles, but he's not there yet.
Bottom line, I don't think it matters which one starts Saturday or Sunday right now. With either, Saturday will be our toughest day to win, and we will have a big edge most Sundays with the other starting.
Neither of them are a Saturday guy that could be a Friday guy if Skenes wasn't all world. But either of them are better than most Sunday guys the rest of the nation can trot out.
I don't agree with any of this. Hurd was already better than Floyd last year, and that's not meant to insult Ty, it's a compliment to Hurd's talent. He has absolutely shown, after knocking off some rust and jitters in his first start in a real game since his back injury last year, that he is a better pitcher than not just Floyd, but better than a lot of teams' aces. Hurd is absolutely a Friday night pitcher on a lot of teams. At this point, only his pitching schedule to start the year has him pitching on Sunday.
If he goes out tomorrow and continues what he's been doing, I fully expect him to move to the Saturday spot next week.

That home plate umpire was horrible. Calling strikes balls and balls strikes..I don’t know how a pitcher can pitch with confidence when the ump is a retard

I dont think anyone is going to argue that floyd is better than hurd. But i also dont see why it matters which one pitches on saturday vs sunday

Hurd missed nearly the entire season with an injury last year. How can you make a case that he was better than Floyd when he was sitting on the bench?

I'm hoping I can agree with this after today's game, but I'm not there yet. I think Hurd eventually takes over Saturday. I also think Hurd is better than Floyd, but there isn't this insane difference between RIGHT NOW that people on here keep saying.

If the Johnson's felt he was ready for Saturday, he absolutely could have pitched yesterday.

Agreed

I tried to tell them. People think Hurd is freshman UCLA Hurd. He's just not there yet.

Looks like he and Floyd pitched similar this weekend.
I think they’ll both do better next week.

The only issue I had with Hurd today is that it seemed like he was consistently pitching from behind in the count.
That can hurt a pitcher.

Over a 50% downvote ratio when I said this..

Well if you tried to work corners this weekend there is a good chance you were going to work from behind.
