LSU didn't get "near the death penalty". Stop with the damn nonsense.
We are approaching year 4!
It's the NIL era! most teams are having roster turnovers nearly every damn year, yet here you are making lame excuses for McMehhhhh.

LSU realizes that they didn't spend near the amount of NIL on the basketball team that they should have, and that's why the publicly stated they will be putting a sizable amount into LSU Men's basketball NIL this coming year
In other news, LSU pisses on your foot and tells you it’s raining.

McMahon being seemingly very passive about his low NIL funding is not what LSU needed as a basketball coach. He should have been outwardly fighting for more since NIL started. But no, he calmly laid back and let Woody piss on him as to not rock the boat.
A big ole FU to the LSU basketball fans from our AD & HC.

This is what several have said about what is needed from whoever is coaching LSU basketball. You need someone that will demand resources and fight for the program. If not, you’ll get overshadowed by football and baseball. That killed Johnny Jones and McMahon.

please pay attention I already said I don't know who pays what.

he only way to disagree with what I am saying is to make the claim that money does nothing.
No, making a claim that teams like Vandy and Miss St pay less in NIL and still made the tournament pretty much kills your straw man argument.

so you want to keep the players that gave you this amazing season?

didn't say that. I literally just said I dont know. you are the one claiming to have some insight on this.
it seems like some of you have never discussed anything with anyone who uses precise language and it upsets you so you make up shite they said.

Go buy the best point guard. Start there

how much money do you think Wade had to build his 2 NCAAT McNeese St teams?
I would venture to guess a lot less than McMahon had this season
I have said like 22 times I don't know
my only point is that I agree with wade that having more money is generally batter than not having it.
and for the thousands time. this is not saying that more money always equals more wins, or less means fewer wins. merely that all other things being equal, more money is better. folks here are trying very hard to disagree with this incredibly anodyne point because to admit it would mean it was possible for McMahon to improve with more money. just this tiny imagined possibility seems to drive everyone bonkers.

I didn’t say money was meaningless but when 14 Fing SEC teams are in the dance and winning, some in year 1 of a new staff, don’t act like the money is why LSU is losing.
I don't disagree with your premise entirely but I thought I read somewhere LSU only outspent 1 SEC program in basketball this year. SC.

You read that from our athletic department.
Please link from ANY non LSU source

Not only that, leaks from the Athletic Department. No one has put their name behind the claim to my knowledge.
People have got to quit believing the Woodward spin.

Can both of the statements be true? LSU does need more funding for men’s hoops and Woodward might be buying time until the right coach.
Regardless, McMahon has to make the NCAA tournament and really be competing in the SEC to be retained. Good thing for him, the floor is extremely low right now.

Answer my questions and I’ll consider entertaining yours.
You apparently lack the ability to form any opinion on McMahon despite watching him coach in person for 3 years.

I am not really making a claim I need to support. I am not asking you to believe McMahon is good or even saying he shouldn't be fired. in the past I have advocated for his firing, I am not trying to support that point now, because you agree with it and there is no need to defend something you agree with.
you are making a claim that the university is lying. you wont support this claim. are you some sort of insider?
quote:

so I have nothing to defend or support. you are the one making claims without any willingness to defend or support your claim.
you make claims but wont support them unless the person asking jumps through some hoops? your claims are not worth defending on their own merits?

the fact that you are unwilling to say how you know anything about NIL numbers is noted.
