Truly sad, you have no idea what you have missed but hey I understand. The younger generation will never understand it. Life goes on either way.

You should have Ubered or used the train.

Blair’s been good. Much better than Hawthorn

See I appreciated Hawthorn and thought overall he wasn’t as bad as people make him out to be. That’s just me though. I listened to him a lot on the radio back in the day while at work

I know this is slightly different topic but just watching on tv and just my personal preference but I prefer women commentary on women sports wnba, softball, tennis etc and male commentary not named Gary Danielson on football, baseball, basketball etc. But it doesn’t bother me much either way.

Hawthorn was good because his voice was unique and familiar. Back when 3 maybe 4 games a year were on TV and all we had was radio at the camp or whatever, you knew when Hawthorns voice came on it was game time. I guess it’s a long way to say nostalgic.
Blair is really good. Not great but we could have done WAY worse.

I love the radio and listen to baseball especially on it all season.
if it were a woman I would be unhappy. women are shite at radio.

Haven't really listened since Hawthorne retired, so it matters not to me.

hate to listen to ESPN/SEC announcers. I synch up the radio broadcast with the muted TV & have done that for years
Same here. Way better than TV announcers blabbering.
But man... our next announcer needs an LSU background and Louisiana roots.

If she was good, I'd have no problem with it.

If she was good at the job I wouldn’t care. That’s really all that matters.

Haven’t listened to LSU game on radio since John Ferguson. Man, how long ago was that?

I would listen either way. What difference does it make if they are good at what they do?

Agreed! We just got back feom Seattle and the train stops right at the stadium. No need to drive and park which is really nice.

As long as it wasn't Beth Mowlins I would give her a chance. That voice haunts me.
