It’s a C. With the Heisman winner. If you want my honest opinion, I think he’s not a good coach. But I’m sure you’ll hit back, and I won’t care.

Does it make you feel better if I say Kirby is a much better coach? Why are other fans so insecure about Kelly? He architected the best offense in the country. He’s clearly a good coach. He’s not Kirby or Saban but he’s a good coach.

B+ is very fair. This fanbase is very critical of CBK due to salary, which is the cost of doing business in modern CFB. After 20-21, Kelly actually gave us back our expectations and gets punished for that.

The defense was bad, but thin and very young. These guys took their Lumps a lot this season. Which hopefully will play well for us next season. The 3 losses came against top 10 teams on the road. We aren’t losing to bad teams. 10 win seasons are nothing to play with in college football especially with our SOS.

Bk is 3-5 vs top 25 (38%) & 2-4 vs top 10 (33%) here @ LSU.

I'm sorry but that is mediocre at best.

We are winning SEC games again. Beating who we should

Beating the hell outta Aggie, UF, AU, and a great road win at Mizz is awesome.

On paper we looked so much better on D. The injuries to Johnson and Akexander and the Brooks news devastated this D.

Why we insist on Speights will always be a question

I give him a A-

A- for both years combined. Injurys, illnesses. Mostly on the defensive side of the ball. Really hit this team hard.

A national championship = A
An SEC title with no natty = B
A division title with nothing else = C
10 wins with nothing else = D
Less than 10 wins and nothing else = F

It feels like it should be better than this, but I have to give him a D+ at this point. He took over a complete dumpster fire and to be on the precipice of back to back 10 win seasons with a potential Heisman is really pretty remarkable. My grade isn’t so much a condemnation of him as much as it is a reflection of the standards at LSU and the expectations that come with a $100 million contract. If 2023 had been his first year, I think would be pretty ecstatic about how it’s turning out. He’s partially a victim of his 2022 success here with the disappointed expectations from last year.

But championships (or lack thereof) matter. For me, he’s a *very* solid and commendable D+ that is nowhere near a hot seat at the moment.

He has done a very good job. He inherited a broken program and played for the SEC championship in his first year. He had another good year this year. LSU's three losses came against teams that have a combined record of 33-3. He has to address defensive issues. I do believe that there was a lack of talent on the defense, but either the scheme is flawed or our players cannot execute it. Changes will be made.

Is 2-0 against Kelly and is on the verge of winning the ACC so I would say he is doing better than Kelly on year 2

He gets a C +

He won more than he should last year and beat bama. He made the right call on bringing in Jayden and I like the direction to try to focus on la guys.

His offensive staff is pretty damn good and they are bringing in elite oline and skill players. He has a heisman qb which is major.

Year 1 the portal was much better for us than year 2.

We did take a step back this year, compared to last year. We also looked unprepared for our opener.

The bad was our entire d staff. Every single hire excluding Cain was a below average hire pointed out by multiple people. Then they compound it by all being horrendous recruiters on top of shite coaches.

Our special teams has also been below snuff for LSU two years in a row, BK made a change after year 1 and we didn’t really see any progress year 2. In fact our punting with a senior got worse.

Our offense seems to be in good shape, our d is in shambles but has talent but we played shite guys like speights over and over. Our special teams is bad.

If he shite cans house this weekend move him to a low B, he replaces him and his staff with elite guys and we start to get to medium high B.

Conference champs, beat bama, change for 10 wins this year.

Has brought a sense of class to the program.

BK is worth every penny he is getting. He is by far the best X’s and O’s Coach LSU has ever had! he inherited a lemons and made lemon. The cornerback situation is not his fault, it’s going to take a good recruiting class this year and we will need to attack the portal again. I give him A-

BK did not win the conference last year, he won the division. Pretty big difference.

C+. So-so recruiting and lack of attention to the defense and special teams. What he has done with the offense has been spectacular.

Finished top 5 last year (ON3 and Rivals). He will likely finish in top ten this year when it’s all said and done.

8 and 9 win seasons won't get it done

When did he have an 8 win season? He’ll likely again finish with 10 wins depending on who opts out.

Jaden Daniels, offensive line… have been developed quite well. We are playing a lot of freshman on defense, difficult positions that take time to develop.

10 wins
10 wins with a Heisman winner

Winning 10 is not easy and I know most here say …… we’re LSU and blah blah blah. But, it’s very rare. To go back to back 10 wins. If we play well in the bowl we should be hanging around the top 10 which is an A for me.
