How will Lane address the OL?

First - I have full confidence Charlie and CLK will scheme our OL to be in a better position and play to its strengths. Unlike prior staffs who would just like to accept it and hope for the best.
But for the X’s and O’s guys, what are the options when you have weak guards and a struggling RT?
Will we see more designed roll outs? More TE’s in line to assist?
Obviously, switching up the personnel is an option. But trying that out in a hostile environment may be tough.
ETA:
Not sure why this is being DV’d, just asking a football question on an LSU forum. Not dooming and glooming at all.

It will be a completely different game. Go back and watch Tech. They had at least 7 in the box 90% of the game. The only "drop back into coverage" play that i recall them running was the TD to Green inside the red zone. This is what gave the OL fits.
Now, you say, well won't Ole Miss just do the same thing? Well, probably not. I think Golding knows enough to not dare Lane Kiffin to take the top off of his weak secondary.
I expect Golding to run his tradition 4-2-5 with a spy on Sam. This will open the run game more and will not look anything like the LATECH game.
Our top two goals should be to play DISCIPLINE football and control the time of possession (in an attempt to keep Chambliss off of the field as much as possible). That dude is a killer. Expect to see much more of Jackson Harris, Malik Elzy, Tyree Holloway, and Jayce Brown.
I anticipate Trey'Dez and Jones seeing the ball a ton.

The OL did not have a good night Saturday but they were able to push Clemson around and Clemson has a better Front 7 than LA Tech. I think one thing you will see more of Saturday is the QB run being more heavily incorporated into the game plan. Leavitt pretty much stayed in the pocket against LA Tech and i think that was intentional. It was a game to work on things he was not as good at and keep him from taking any unnecessary hits.

He will probably tell them when they bring 9 you have to block all of them. Dont care that there is only 5 or 6 of you, no excuses...

CLK has always schemed for mediocre o-line play. I honestly believe mike recognition really screwed up the line this past week. I think we have schemes for these more traditional defenses that we will be able to hide or at least put in the best spot possible the offensive line. Otherwise just run left behind seaton til the cows come home.

Won't matter there will be a "holding call" on every long gain, or if the receiver is within 10 feet of the sideline they will say he was out of bounds on the catch. They also will be able to hit Sam whenever and however they want without being called, but when we even touch Chambliss it will be roughing the passer and/or targeting.

Then maybe understand that College linemen arent going to play like sunday players every week.

Ole miss defense not as good as la tech. If they go to a 3 3 5, we will burn them with pass paterns that we have not seen yet plus more qb runs with sam and clark

They'll most likely do a lot of things with alignment and motion to help make run blocking assignments more clear for the OL. That LT defensive front makes things complicated in terms of IDing the mike and getting hats on hats. I'd bet Golding will do some things to replicate that, but I think the things we do in presnap alignment this week will do more to give our guys easier reads and get Ole Miss defenders out of position.

The #1 thing OM will do is limit Leavitt's legs. That is the one aspect of the offense that hasn't been slowed down.
OM will sell out on the run in early downs and then force Leavitt to throw into coverage on obvious passing downs. I do not expect them to blitz much with their secondary and Leavitt's elusiveness.

I'm pretty surprised by the lack of designed rollouts so far
He has had multiple passes knocked down due to his height, and interior rush has gotten him off his spot several times

It only opens up the run game if Sam is decisive and makes accurate throws.

We have demonstrated any ability to the take off a secondary. We've had one long pass play and Tre had to lay out for a great catch.
That, I doubt Ole Miss can drop 8 like they did last year when we couldn't run through tall grass.

If you really believe this diatribe and aren’t kidding, you live a very weird existence. Sankey literally has zero to do with referees and the calls they make on the field.
