I think he goes 10-2 this year and 11-1 next year w/ Brennan. Long leash.

There are 5 active coaches that have lead a team to a NC ring. They are currently at Clemson, Alabama, Texas A&M, Kansas and North Carolina. Which one do you expect him to sign in 2020?

O has 1 year after a 6-7 win season.

However, he's one 10 win season away from giving himself more comfort.

Anything less than a playoff spot and he should be gone after this year. We are ABSOLUTELY LOADED everywhere.

Woodward hired Chris Peterson and Jimbo Fisher at his last two stops. The current coach doesn’t seem like these two.

Microscopic short. Woodward did what it took to get Jimbo to A&M. He knows a winner and won't stand for a charlatan playing politics.

The exact same stuff that got Les Miles fired. 3 and 4 loss seasons each year

Exactly! I mean come on. Somebody please point to the evidence that "he's doing a good job" or "it's heading in the right direction." He had the one win against Georgia in 2018, and the one against Auburn in 2017. What else has there been?

Was it the playing for overtime against A&M instead of the win? Or maybe it was the kicking of the field goal against ND from the inch line in a meaningless bowl game. It's certainly not the blow out by Moo State or the Troy embarrassment in 2017. It must be his big games against UT Chattanooga or Rice.

This is the same guy that finally pulled Chris Peterson out of Boise and then sealed the deal with Jimbo when our guy couldn’t two years in a row.

He’ll bring in a very qualified coach if O can’t deliver us back to the playoff level he was hired to.

His first agenda item is fire the WBB coach and get one who can recruit in place. period.

Baseball is next for him if shite don’t get moving in right direction

It's not Apples to Apples. With Les the program was going stale. We were still recruiting well but there was no excitement and it was clear that the players were there training for the NFL and if they won a few games along the way then great.

O has this program going in the right direction. He's kept up the good recruiting and he is on his 3rd offense in 3 years because (unlike Les) he's not gonna just sit there and do nothing about his offense sucking.

Does this mean that O has all the answers and will lead us to a championship? No.

But it does mean that he should get a legitimate shot at it.

I totally agree, Mr. FBI man. Well said.

Orgeron has a little more motivation now.

Joe Alleva's future was intertwined with Orgeron's success. He had a level of cushion with Joe.

That is gone now. Orgeron has a stacked team this year. He better get 11 wins and be in playoff contention. If not, then he better not win less than 10 games the following year or his seat will get hot as lava.

Has he not done a good job?

No, he hasn't. He was hired to get LSU over the hump, i.e. win a championship. Instead, he immediately regressed and is now being lauded for simply getting the program back to the average position it was in just prior to his hiring.

He is recruiting below Miles level and continuing to lose top in-state talent to other schools.

Why should he be congratulated for addressing a problem he himself caused? It's his fault he hired Canada then meddled and didn't allow him to run his offense. It's his fault he hired LSU's longtime TE coach with no recent success running an offense who has managed to score exactly ZERO combined points against LSU's biggest rival in two tries.

He has as many awful results as he does great ones and then his slobbers just overvalue beating teams that ended up awful or playing without their star player.

Let's see: Year 1 he basically had 2 good wins but two horrific losses. The rest were wins against coaches that got FIRED!

Year 2: Very good win against UGA, a win against a UCF team without basically their offense as their stud QB goes down.

Other than that, bad loss to A&M no matter how you slice it, embarrassment against Bama, and a loss to a freaking UF team led by Felipe Franks. His other great wins were against dud teams in Auburn and Miami.

He is in no way better than Miles was in his last 4 years, other than the fact that the system adding in games after 2014 helped him get a NY6 bowl, which is much easier now than getting into a BCS Bowl was.

So if we don’t reach the playoffs, or come damn close by going 11-1 and just missing out this year, and then go 7-5 next year you wouldn’t call that getting a “legitimate shot”??

How many years in this ol baw going to get?

Jimbo lost 4 games in '18 and will lose at least 4 this season. And he lost 6 games in his last season at Florida St.

O's boys gonna slobberknock A&M in BR in '19.
