Myles Brennan should count. But he actually quit before the season started

Booty was reported to have gotten hurt vs Georgia Tech in the 2000 Peach Bowl. He was replaced by Rohan Davey in the 2nd half, who played brilliantly and outscored the Jackets 25-0.

but they weren’t gonna do it in the 2Q vs Ole Miss.
you’re right, Kelly really avoided losing to Ole Miss by keeping Nuss in

Lee came in for Jefferson multiple times and saved the day.

2010 Florida comes to mind.

Why didn't Lee come in during our championship loss to gumps?

We did score on 3/4 drives in the 2nd half & would have had a chance to go win the game if our defense could have gotten a stop in the last 5 mins.

Is there some reason for asking this? Should that history affect the current decision-making process?

Didn't Carl Otis Trimble play QB for a while?

So if you're saying Nuss should have been benched at some point vs Ole Miss, then yes, I agree. The backup dude looked pretty good - even if it was against the University of LA @ Hammond.

1995 Melvin Hill for Jamie Howard and then Herb Tyler for Melvin Hill.

The plan was to go to the veer beginning in '74 to better utilize Miley. But Mike went to MLB (Angels) and we were left with Billy Broussard and Carl Otis Trimble alternating at QB in '74.

The veer was a 1Y experiment. We went back to the I-formation in '75 with the aforementioned Moreau-Lyons at QB.

We will never know.

Consider this: JJ started 4 postseason games and although JL bailed Les out in '10 vs UTenn, UF, and Bama, JL took like two postseason snaps in his career (couple of snaps in victory formation).

Etling came in for Brandon Harris at beginning of 2016 season.
Thing was, Etling wasn't even good that year, but he was competent, which is what we lacked with Harris.

Even with Fournette and Guice, LSU averaged 16.6 ppg vs P5 in those first 4 games with Harris.

In the remaining 7 P5 games, they averaged 30.1 ppg. If you take away the 0 point Bama loss, even with the 10 point Florida loss still baked in, we averaged 35.1 ppg.

The offense itself was infinitely better with a competent QB.

Also, it was the last year we had a truly elite defense. That defense finished 5th in scoring defense. It was crazy because we only allowed 11 TDs in the first 11 games. That TAMU game killed our chance of a #1 defense. We gave up 5 TDs that game. Minus that game, LSU's defense was giving up 12.5 ppg, which would have put us at #1 in the country in scoring defense ahead of Bama's 13.0 ppg given up #1 scoring defense.

I believe MVB can give us an extra TD a game on offense. I think he can help the run game get an extra FG on offense as well. Right now we are averaging 18.7 ppg vs power 4. What if we can get an extra 10 ppg? 28-29 ppg is not out of the question for us this year vs P4. With our defense, that's enough to finish 10-2 at the least. That's what we averaged last year with a worse defense.

Booty was so bad in the first half against Tech! Every pass was either in the turf or behind the receiver!
