How many SEC teams have a more talented roster than LSU?

Bama is the only one I’m sure of
Auburn and Georgia are about equally as talented as us
Miss St and Florida are close but I think we edge them out
TAMU and SCarolina would be right below them

I think the NFL numbers in 5 years will back me up.

Bama and UGA. Auburn is about equal. We have more talent than everyone else.

There is zero question that UGA has more talent.

For the most part, Mississippi State is a bunch of overachieving 2 and 3 star players nobody really wanted. Don’t know why everybody thinks they will beat us this year????

LSU had 5 players on the preseason all-SEC teams. That’s three deep. Alabama had 7 on the first team alone. That’s not a small disparity in talent, it’s meaningful.
We don’t have a proven qb, rb, or wr on offense and only return a handful of starters on defense.
You’ve got to stop believing the local press. We are middle of the pack in talent and that’s if the new guys pan out. We can’t really “compare” talent because we’ve got so many unknowns.

Ed Orgeron is 1-3 versus Mississippi State.

Because they stomped us last year and return almost everyone.

We still have more talent top to bottom than state. I know they beat us last year, but don't expect that to happen this year in tiger stadium that's for sure. I hope they do come in over confident against us.

Yeah I'm watching the MSU/Bama replay right now. They hung with Bama, nothing felt flukey about it.

I'm counting that as a W simply because we get them at Tiger Stadium. They'll be a problem.

I mean state only returns two AA in the DL and Fitzgerald, who is a great runner.

I DO think we can beat MSU in tiger stadium, but to act shocked at any inference they would beat us is silliness.

Bama is the sec champion of course they will have more pre season picks for all sec. LSU will have a better Defense than Bama this year. They will have the edge on offense but we will have a shot at beating them

Edge to the Tigers for home field advantage and payback after last year's beatdown. State has a solid squad. It will be brutal but we get the W.

Translation: We don’t have a HC that our fans can expect to beat equally and more talented teams than us like Troy does in Neal Brown.
