I agree, if we lose the game 21-13...how much does this place demand a firing of the entire staff minus Aranda...?

The Dillon TD play was special pass and catch...razer close to being tipped...

if tipped, do we win the game? probably not

that's how close a coach can go from "dog house" to "hey maybe we need to consider an extension"

LSU has CLEARLY made major improvements in every phase of the game,

I’m pretty sure we’re last in the SEC in offense...just saying...since you felt the need to say the words “clearly”, “major”, and “every”. Great win..but let’s not lose our minds.

I think we have CLEARLY made a major improvement in special teams...and that was the difference in the game imo. I give O credit for making the changes

It was a great win and LSU was mentally ready to play, which is something Miles failed to do in his last years.

I’ve been extremely critical of Orgeron, but yesterday caused me to take pause. This was a signature win for him.

You can play the ifs and buts game on both sides. What if we don't rough the passer on that 3rd and long play? Auburn doesn't get a TD on that drive, and we may have never needed that long pass.

The point is that we won. The staff and players pulled it out when many of the experts never even thought they'd be in position to do so.

What most people don't understand is, a head coach's performance is a fluid situation. There should be no 100% PERMANENT support of a coach, not even saban. It's a what have you done lately occupation. My opposition to coach O's hiring IS diminishing. I still think we should have hired a better coach though. I want so badly to be wrong about him and we win natty(s) with O.

I still think it was a bad hire and always will! Alleva is an idiot. I'm just starting to believe that he lucked out.

He'll never win a championship, but if he can keep getting transfers to make up for complete inability to coach, and takes Aranda hostage forever, he can be good enough to get buttfricked by Alabama and the other anointed teams every year. But now that I know he'll be the coach forever, because that's our "place," I don't have to give a shite anymore. See you at the NCAA sanctioning hearings.

Man, you must be one miserable SOB...

That would require emotion. The desolation of knowing that we've been put in our "place" with yet another loveable dumbass who is good enough to keep the job but nothing close to elite - has sucked all of the passion for football right out of me.

Referring to Coach Miles? The guy who won it all? Who competed for 2 national titles? Let's hope this "loveable, dumbass" does as well.

One game isnt going to do that for me. A full season....maybe

I'm not predicting it at all, but what if we lose to la tech?

Y'all make irrational decisions with this stuff

Eta-not taking anything away from the win. He's closer than ever to earn my respect

Clock management, check.
QB play, check.
Line play, check.
Play calling, check.
Special teams, check.
DB's, check.
Recruiting to fill needs, check.
In-game adjustments, check.
Resilience of team, check.

We're not perfect, but lots to like here and things are going in the right direction.

It's a case of Aranda saving his job. The offense is still a mess. Burrow is calm but nowhere near a great qb. The Defense continues to shine in what is essentially the same LSU team we've been watching for years now

3 games so far this year and 2 wins vs top 10. 3-0. Gotta love that!

And McClendon. Lovable dumbass coach is our "place," obviously.

So we can beat a decent team every once in a while, if we can get transfers to play positions they can't coach (like WR, where they got multiple top recruits), and dutifully get crushed by the anointed teams.

And again, see you at the sanctioning hearings.

Its a hell of a start beaux. Let's see how we do once people get some film on the offense. I think we'll be fine tbh, but something to keep an eye on IMO.

I'm on board as far as expectations go. This is absolutely a 10 win team. No more wait and see, no excuses about youth or inexperience. Auburn changed everything.

Expect no fewer than 10 wins. He does that and that'll go a long way towards him being the man for the job.

Thats an argument in line with "oh but who has more rings!??"

Miami was an absolute mess of a team and Auburn gift wrapped that win in the end. It doesn't take a genius to see our offense is still bad and we still don't have even an above average qb
