Never happened huh?
I thought this was common knowledge so I admit I'm surprised that you don't know. I was trying to pick with you and you didn't pick up on it.

Bama had the Bear and nothing else. After Bear, Bama was a has been that won here and there like other blue bloods. Without Saban, Bama would be Nebraska by now.

Between 8-10. I talk about this all the time with people I meet, and I already know. It's a shame he had to go embarrass himself in the NFL, when he had it all in BR. Everyone knew he was gonna try at some point, though.

Another question to ask is how many more natty's would Miles have won if Saban would have just stayed in Miami.

A lot of those players he snagged from Louisiana would have stayed and went to LSU.

I would say if he stayed in Miami LSU wins another 2-4 under Miles. I think if they would have had the playoffs in the earlier years under Miles we may have won 2 more. 05 and 06 LSU was peaking at the end.

I would say at least 2 maybe 3.

Les and O had 2 between them, and you're saying Saban would maybe have 2 or 3 total? You are WAY off the mark.

I don't think kids pay too much attention to the natty's during Bryant's time. I don't think this is a factor. But I would say he would have more than Bama because he had already started the momentum. He would have had a dynasty that would still be going today.

Perrilloux probably doesn't get kicked off the team

Because he would have been playing for Texas. If you are gonna revise HISTORY...you have to keep Perrilloux committed to Texas. He wasn't coming to LSU because of Saban.

It’s just so sad that all these years later LSU fans are still lamenting what might have been. We had a hell of a run post-Saban. No such thing as what might have been.

Lighten up Francis. It’s fun to speculate on what might have been. Painful but fun.

Scary to think what would have happened with the football team with Saban during Katrina. We may not have had 20 people still playing by October. Today's Saban may have handled it okay, but 2005 Saban probably would have been the worst head coach imaginable to have handled Katrina.

Les had his faults but he really never has gotten the credit he deserves for guiding the team through Katrina.

Unless LSU found a way to move to the AFC South, there was 0% chance Saban would have stayed. We knew he was fast-tracking to the NFL at the time we hired him.

Haven't really thought about what he could do with the players we actually had each season, here are my thoughts:

Likely NC's
2019
2012
2011
2007
2006

Potential NC's
2018
2013
2010
2005

All of those teams had top shelf talent and at least 10 wins. Not having to go against Saban at Bama in those years boosts us a LOT.

Have to think he manages better than Les and therefore we get to the 'ship in those seasons.

For O's one season in 2018, maybe he harnesses Burrow more quickly than O did and somehow Devin White and Greedy play even more out of their minds. 2018 had a true shite show in the 7OT game, then the Florida game was a tough one as well with Burrow playing his worst game as a tiger probably. Bama skullfricked us, but in this scenario they wouldn't have Saban.

As I posted elsewhere, who might LSU Saban face yearly at Bama?
There were quite a few excellent coaches moving around when Shula was failing miserably that would've enjoyed all the REC has to offer.
