Talked about this with a coworker on our way to the jobsite today. We went 11-2 in '05 with Miles, losing to Tenner in overtime and Georgia in the SECCG, routed Miami in the Peach Bowl 40-3. 2 losses in 2006, the 7-3 game at Auburn and Florida by 13 points. Natty in '07 of course. Perrilloux probably doesn't get kicked off the team or get into all the shite he got into if Saban is his coach, so maybe 2008, although Florida beat everyone's arse that year so maybe not. What say you? I think he'd have at least 10 total, maybe more. He was building a monster at LSU. I also believe he's being serious when he says leaving LSU was the biggest mistake of his career. Hate Saban as a rival, but I respect and appreciate what he did for our program.

He wouldn't have the built-in advantage of the Bama history and prestige to recruit to, so doubtful he would have as many as he has at Bama.

Wasn't he like 9-3 or 9-4 his last year at LSU?

I would say at least 2 maybe 3.

Perrilloux wasn't coming here if Saban stayed.

Bama is your Mama?

Him winning 2/3 in 05-07 seems easily attainable.

After that it’s complete speculation but the way he was building up the program I don’t think it’s crazy to say he’d have the same amount of championships here as he does now in his actual career.

ETA: I’ve debated this with Bama fans before. They don’t agree with me

That's it? Idk I just think with the recruiting classes he'd have been bringing in he'd have more than 6. I think he'd have more than those 3 in the BCS era for sure.

Hey Sharlo, I'm not sure if you're aware or not,but this is a message board where people discuss what they think about. I'm thinking go frick yourself right now, but I'm also thinking about how lame Sharlo is for a username.

Said it at a coaches convention if my memory serves me correctly, and I am over it, just discussed it today and figured I'd see what tRant thought. Don't get cantankerous with me old man. I'll take them tennis balls off that walker and you will never see them again. Try me.

Would’ve had a chance to 3peat from 05-07. We’d be Bama level with a couple of extra chances at titles.

Awww. Sorry I made you have big feelings! And you had to use your angry words!!

Rest assured that I do not value your opinion.

It’s just so sad that all these years later LSU fans are still lamenting what might have been. We had a hell of a run post-Saban. No such thing as what might have been.

What do you see in 8-4, 10-3, 8-5, 13-1, 9-3 that makes you so confident he could've won 9 or more in 17yrs? I mean he's won 6 in 12yrs at a blueblood for comparison.
I'm sure he learned some stuff from NFL prior to Bama.
Who would've been his opposition at Bama if he never left? Meyer, Spurrier, Peterson, Patterson.......who knows what another good coach could've done there.

Saban coaching the 05-07 teams would’ve been a sight to see
