So is Bruce Pearl and he got a 5 year extension with Auburn. He hasn't talked to his AD in 2 years!

You clearly don’t know jack shite about what you’re talking about. Better to not start these threads when you have absolutley no idea what’s going on.
Dumb As Georgia Red Clay Dirt.

It's not. People on here are just idiots.
I want Alleva gone as well.

Would Alleva be a desireable AD hire at one of LSU’s peers?
The whole situation is embarrassing. The only people supporting the administration side is the administration. LOL

Wade already coached the season so suspending him was the dumbest move possible. Fire him or support him is the only move. Suspending him only brought more negativity to LSU.

In summary:
First, Wade wasn't being investigated. This was an investigation into Christian Dawkins.
As for as why this is Alleva's fault. Well, it might not be all his fault because King is the one who told Alleva to suspend Wade, but it was a knee jerk reaction.
For whatever reason yahoo published their article the day after we beat Florida on the road (which put us undefeated on the road in conference play). Will Wade wasn't the only coach the feds had information on, discussing "pay for play".
They had text from Bill Self (Kansas HC) discussing offering Zion Williamson $100k & a new house for his parents. A year earlier a report was published about the whole FBI investigation and it said that there could be up to 50 schools involved.
Alleva knew about the whole FBI thing and Will Wade being part of the investigation since at least October, which he made a public statement about.
So why all of a sudden suspend Wade, especially with the success the team had and right before the NCAA tournament? Even if there was anything, suspending him wouldn't change anything if they were going to vacate the wins, the SEC title, etc. The damage would have already been done.

Alleva allowed this to turn into a cluster frick. This should have been dealt with long before the NCAA tourney

Wade and Arizona coach Sean Miller have been subpoenaed by defense attorneys to appear in the second of three federal trials of college basketball figures, which is scheduled to begin April 22 in New York. Federal prosecutors have filed a motion to keep the coaches from having to testify in that trial.

Alleva did the right thing in suspending the coach who is under FBI investigation before the sport's biggest tournament as a precaution.

It's amazing how idiotic people don't understand the difference between being subpoenaed by a defense team versus an actual federal investigation. Bunch of imbeciles posting the same wrong shite over & over again.

Uh, the Arizona coach and the Virginia Coach both have been name dropped. I heard someone close to the investigation say that it’s more like 40 something coaches are on these FBI tapes

Wade decided not to meet with LSU.
Alleva did the right thing in suspending the coach who is under FBI investigation before the sport's biggest tournament as a precaution. Any school would have done the same.
What did Alleva do to:
Cuase Wade to be investigated?
Cause Wade not to meet with LSU?
Alleva and his compliance department either did not think this was a big issue or did not investigate it when the news of Wade's allegations first broke back in 11/2018. After the "strong arse offer" comment Alleva overreacted to try and save his face. This turned out to have minor impact in the grand scheme of things, but Alleva this has to be the last straw for Alleva as AD.

quote:Seriously you are comparing the two? Dumb! That's like saying even if credible evidence was presented against Wade that it shouldn't have been looked into until after the season.
Alleva always said with Miles that everything would be evaluated after the season. Should have done that with Wade.

Alleva surrendered to the crap going down faster than the French Army in 1940...at least the French put up something resembling a fight...

That is a dumb comparison especially since Alleva was referring to the regular season when evaluating Miles. Alleva suspended Wade for one game during the regular season and LSU had already locked up a share of the SEC regular season title.

1. HE WAS NOT UNDER INVESTIGATION.
2. HE WAS ONLY ASKED TO TESTIFY IN AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION.
3. HIS ATTORNEY TOLD HIM HE WAS NOT ABLE TO SPEAK REGARDING THE ON-GOING INVESTIGATION. (This is common practice for most involved in on-going investigations).
4. JOE ALLEVA, F. KING, EARINGS WILLIAMS, AND THE REST OF THE GANG SUSPENDED OUR COACH BASED ON AN UNVERIFIED YAHOO STORY CREATED BASED ON OPINION AND SOME LEAKED WIRE TAPS.
5. NOTHING IN THE WIRETAP WAS HARD PROOF THAT WILL WADE BROKE ANY RULES. ALL HE SAID WAS THAT I made a strong A$$ offer. That offer could mean many legal things.
I really wish folks like you would stop giving this inept administrator a pass for their stupidity. They look out for only themselves and not this university. They all need to go!
