We didn't give him "easier" throws and create ways to counter the rush.

He had easy throws and instead of throwing the ball he held it.

There are many reasons….pick one…bad OL play….cold weather…..who cares…we won…..he will be better from here on out.

He can't hit a screen pass he over throws them.

It’s called zone and it’s JD’s kryptonite. Zone makes his receivers “look covered”, therefore, he doesn’t let the ball go.

This. Keeping the 2 linebackers in the middle of the field to start the game eliminates any passes over the middle from JD.

I know they played disciplined but I don't know why we don't see that from every team.

Plus the cold was probably huge for the warm weather QB.

Can you run around and throw passes when you have been throwing up? I know I can't.

It was 30 degree wind chill, on like 38 degrees. Wind was 15 mph. No qb is going to have a great game in that.

But it works itself out because his performances against UF, Ole Miss, and Bama were every bit as good as any LSU QB ever not named Joe Burrow

Maybe just maybe and hear me out. Maybe the defense caused him to not look good. Sort of like how LSU defense made Bryce Young perform not like usual. Sometimes it happens.

Absolutely, I said this after the Tennessee game, every team should play zone against him. People wondered why M. Taylor didn’t have a catch, well, when early in the game those LB’s were dropping in the zones where he normally hits those passes to him. After it was established he was totally confused and wasn’t going to pull the trigger, they just pinned their ears back and all out blitzed him and he had no escape lanes and he didn’t check to hot routes or even recognized the blitz. The line was having a rough day before they started blitzing a lot and then really struggled ( understandably ), when they all out blitzed.

Sometimes you just tip your hat and give credit.

Barry Odom had a great game plan for LSU. He had LSU on their heels and off balance almost the whole game.

Fayetteville is a tough place, it was cold and we all know Arkansas always plays well against LSU.

Imagine what Odom could do with top tier SEC defensive talent!

Probably the same as Arkansas's stud running back having an awful game. Both defenses were ready in stopping both players, although I believe the weather shock and Denbrock had a lot to do with Jayden's pedestrian stats.
