How good can an offense be that has average skill players and qb , but a fantastic o line?

That’s something I’m not sure I’ve seen before . This isn’t what I see us as , just wanted this board’s opinion

Can anyone think of an example? Maybe in the past we could come across that way but it was because the qb play was so bad that it made our skill guys appear to be average somewhat. Still had a good back always though

I got to thinking about how good we could be if our o line ends up being exceptional , that’s the difference between being 7-5 and 10-2

I could have just thought big ten but I had sec on the mind and missed the obvious

Great O-line is like rising tide floating all boats.
If a choice, great O-line and avg skill players beats avg O-line and great skill players

I believe that is what you call Wisconsin.

Idk ask Bama pre 2018 or whenever they modernized their offense

This is the absolute correct answer.

They modernized their offense in 2014 when they hired Kiffin

How much of that is attributed to the oline? Jonathan Taylor is the only RB I can think of that has been as successful in the NFL as College.

Think back to 2003 & 04!

Melvin Gordon has never really been a true star, but he has over 6,000 career yards and over 50 touchdowns.

Guess the closest SEC comp would be Kentucky.
ETA: Misread, thought you were asking about in the SEC. Iowa is the best answerm
