That is what everyone is guessing about… has he been officially terminated as outlined by the contract.

We aren't getting Lane or Nick either way. Was true before this.

So, that puts at hiring a G5 HC (Sumrall, Golesh, etc.) or a P5 coordinator (well, this is unlikely).

That scenario was true the moment that Landry opened his mouth the week after BK was fired.

This buffoonery might scare off some coaches (and their agents) that have other options (like Sumrall who is also an Auburn possible target), but we will have a new coach next year.

That coach will have a lot of confidence in himself and will think he can win championships here. Many on this board will doubt him. Only time will tell.

We give them the money we were supposed to get Kelly, of course.

What if LSU hires another guy named Brian Kelly and just pays him the money instead?

Just say they didn’t specify which Brian Kelly they were going to pay.

There are plenty of younger up and coming coaches who would love to be here.

Regardless of how messy the Kelly situation is, it will work itself out. He is being a prick, screw him.

We need to be much smarter and gamble on a coach that has not had this level of job before. It’s cheaper than someone like Kelly that basically created zero goodwill for our program. Like it or not, money is going to the kids and we need to reset to a model that allows most of that money go to the players, and let the coaches coach.

A good coach will leave for more money, a bad coach will squat until you fire him.

If we do that, I will personally take a wrecking ball to the Admin building.

Key words
Right now

They want to stifle him however.

You don’t just terminate someone initially without cause then weeks later you’re trying to gather proof to terminate with cause. Working backwards isn’t right
