Can’t really say this is the “only” way but it’s by far the best way. We saw last week what it looked like when the offense came through and the pitching fell flat. If the offense continues at this pace and we get outings that are anywhere close to what we had this weekend, we will be in very good shape. Hard to hold that Georgia offense down so we shall see

no gonna happen, they would need to maintain their 2.67/game average for 22 more games...they have 6 more regular season games, possibly 4 in hoover, 4 in a regional, 3 in a super regional, with that they would need 4 games in Omaha minimum. Their average will take a hit in Hoover and if they make it to Omaha as well.

The record is safe!

Exactly right, bring out the lumber and bombs away! Pitching needs to come to play . Will be a high scoring series ; we need to do our part with the runs!

I’m not saying we need to bunt the lead off runner over every inning, but being able to successfully sprinkle that into the offense could be a difference maker. It puts pressure on teams to be athletic and make quick decisions defensively, and adds one more thing to have their mind on before the pitch.

Sprinkling it in isn’t small ball, that’s good baseball. Small ball is what UCLA used to play where it was get on base by any mean necessary, steal, bunt, sac fly or grounder for an RBI.

Not sure if y’all have noticed but we are driving the ball much more as of late, the number of pop-ups caused by big fly swings has dropped noticeably.

Driving the ball due to better swings is not small ball. It’s just not swinging out of your shows every pitch to try and hit a 7 run home run.

It seems to be the offensive philosophy is shifting from what wasn’t working consistently to more balanced.

Balanced is what I want too. Hard contact all over the field

Arrambide, Serna, and Braun are absolutely putting good swings on and driving the ball right now. It's much more preferable to guys swinging out of their shoes.

But for this weekend only because of the RF situation, I want Dardar taking the biggest hacks possible.

They are gonna get hits, you just can't put free guys on base or move them over with passed balls and wild pitches. But we are gonna need some good ole fashion baseball luck. We are due, Florida took 2 of 3 there. Any word on Pearson's injury?

I am encouraged by the way we hit MSU"s Friday and Saturday starters. And the UGA park is small (similar in size to Tenn). So that bodes well for us. But...UGA also bashes in that park. If we can just cut down on free bases via walks, HBP and errors we can win at least one, and we are capable of taking the series. I think we get 1/2 on Friday or Saturday and lose Sunday as we don't have the depth in the bullpen to go the full 27 with UGA. So, I think we go 1-2 this weekend, or get swept...

If we can get at least 1 we still have a very small chance. If we get swept....it's over...
