The scouts like Nix the lice medicine better than Nix the QB

Extremely quick release and quality arm. Seems pretty smart so he is a first rounder in there somewhere.

I dunno, Brees played the same way his last 2-3 seasons. Kamara helped a lot. Put Nix in a dynamic offense built on speed and he’ll be fine.

What? Chad Kelly has elite arm talent and had character concerns. That is not Bo Nix. He’s a game manager. I could see him being a career NFL backup.

He will be a late round pick at best!

He seems like a prototypical backup QB.

But to answer OP. Decent arm, mobil, gets rid of the ball quickly, great touch on his passes. But the lack of downfield passing won't work as a QB in the NFL.

And if anyone was even remotely in the Heisman discussion from LSU it was Garrett Nussmirer because Daniels was terrible and wouldn’t throw down field

Stop saying this. He wouldn’t throw downfield last season and anyone who doesn’t acknowledge that either didn’t watch the games (a la Bo Nix stat whores) or is an idiot. Give it a rest.

I would take a flyer on him in the late first rounds to early second round, unless there's a can't miss prospect for another position. Kind of like Will Levis last year.

Rather have a shot at Daniels, Pinix, or Caleb Williams.

Late 1st round I'd probably take that UNC quarterback

There were certainly times he took off running after 1 read but he was clearly the best option for the team going into this season and people arguing against him either didn’t watch or are idiots. And let’s not forget the ones that were actively mad when he came back

You were wrong it’s ok to admit it
Please note no one thought he’d have the Heisman season he had but he was clearly the best QB on the roster and players do improve

Yes, their offense did. He wasn’t gonna be a 1/2 round pick at AU. Skills wise, yeah dink and dunk didn’t help him. But financially, he made some money from NIL and the draft will benefit him being from Oregon bc didn’t he get benched for the bad LSU QB transfer?

4th round will be used as a backup. He might be able to stretch that out five or more seasons. If he's smart, he'll pick up all he can at that level and get into coaching.

Not used cars; he'll have a well paying job at Nike. Uncle Phil will reward him for what he did for the Ducks.

NFL scouts love him because he's basically running an NFL style offense now. He also protects the ball with safe throws, has the arm to stretch the field with long throws, if needed, and he can run well enough to keep a defense honest.

His biggest asset is he's very cerebral and understands how to read defenses on a different level and I'm sure a lot of that comes from having a former NFL QB as a dad. I think he's going to be an outstanding NFL QB, which is not something I would have said a couple of years ago!

The Heisman is NOT about NFL potential.

Probably will be a journeyman backup. Chase Daniel, Matt Flyn, et al. type guy.

He wasn’t wrong if he was criticizing Daniels for an inability to let it fly on middle to deep routes. He was wrong if he said improvement is very unlikely.
