How do NFL scouts see Nix?

There is nothing dynamic about his game.
It’s all short passes and yac. That won’t work in the NL with its speed, discipline and technique on defenses.
If anyone deserves awards on that team it is the receiving corps. They do the hard work.

To be fair with Nix, that is their offense.
I don’t think he is anything special and will be a bust in the NFL if picked in the first round though.

He’ll get drafted for sure. Oregon’s O probably didn’t do him any favors though.

JD has a shot to be the first QB taken. He made the right decision to come back for sure.

I think Oregon’s offense was fine-tuned to hide his limitations. He’s very accurate throwing short to intermediate, so they try to get guys in space and block well on screens and behind the LOS throws and make the most of what he can do.
His arm strength and deep ball accuracy will limit his draft stock.

He loses sight of mechanic fundamentals often and throws off balance a ton. That won’t work in the NFL.

I’m sure you’re right, message board fans have a tremendous track record with that very statement. In just the last year CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson were sure fire busts. And if anyone was even remotely in the Heisman discussion from LSU it was Garrett Nussmirer because Daniels was terrible and wouldn’t throw down field
