Maybe because LSU wasn’t very good themselves this year?
You might have forgotten that LSU looked like hot garbage in over half of their games this year.

The Tigers have played 12 games so far & won 8. Half would be 6 so if they played like hot garbage in half of the games, how did they end up with 8 wins?

I feel that pain. Great trip except for Kelly cocking it up.

Everyone on here downing BK probably wanted Jimbo Fisher!

2024 LSU had no business losing to either one of those teams just like 2023 had no excuse for having a defense as bad as it was.
Coaching/recruiting/development has cost LSU 2 chances to play for NC in back to back years.

They are talking about usc.
In fairness, I think USC lost all of their games late in the games, and I don't think they lost by double digits all year.....just seemed to get beat in the end. Moss couldn't miss against us, and it was our first game. Also, aren't there massive players out for both teams? Much like what we will see from LSU, this wasn't the same team for either team.

The USC loss came down to them constantly blowing up a predictable shotgun zone give on 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1. Hell it happened on the very first drive of the game at the goal line and continued for all 4 quarters in critical moments. That single handedly showed just how ill prepared Kelly was in yet another opening season loss to not have a plan B like a simple under center Philly brotherly shove for one.

I do not think he will make it here long term.
LSU doesn’t have a choice. Woodward pulled another Jimbo on the contract.

Lost to Vandy and Ok would be a good trade for beating AL by 5 TDs, winning the opener and only having 3 losses.

A few I have seen doing that thought we pulled the trigger too early firing O.

I love these posts. Always with an excuse. Please list excuse for getting blown out by a 3 loss Bama team at home.

Several factors:
1) bone-headed penalties by senior leaders on the field that resulted in short fields and two TD drives by USC
2) Brand new defensive staff in their first game
3) LSU's history of starting season slow (not just Kelly, but under O as well)
I think we can all agree that LSU was a much better team by year-end, so there's really no point in complaining about a loss from almost 5 months ago.

TAMU
- simply put, was not prepared for Reed enough. This was plainly obvious.
- Nuss decided to completely tank a game we were winning. Two rurnovers literally in the opponents redzone.
- safeties were trash all year. This was the worst problem we had all year, and it tops run blocking by a big margin.
- special teams decided to phone it in that day.
Ok, but did these reasons for losing to USC get corrected for A&M
quote:
- Caden Durham didn't play, lost the only effective RB that game halfway through it.
- Zy Alexander didn't play. One of the best corners in the country was still getting back to 100%
- Whit Weeks barely played at all. Baker's first game at LSU, feeling out his team.
Or were all 3 fixed for A&M and it was 4 new things that kept LSU from winning?

Because Brian Kelly spends the 8 month offseason being totally clueless about his team.
