When Kelly set the depth chart, most had Daniels in the lead.

The OL was pathetic and these DL's were destroying them. Ojulari and Maason Smith were having to be taken out of the lineup in order to complete a pass for any of QB's. The Center position was in disarray.
Both Tackles were terrible. The TE position was worse than that. Brennan was a sitting duck. Nuss wasnt ready, but getting better at scrambling.

Campbell, Turner, Taylor and Jones have exceeded expectations, all 4 of them.
Hindsight is 20/20. The what if's and buts are for people not looking forward.

By the way, LSU wasnt winning anything with Brennan either, stats or no stats.

Daniels not throwing the football to open receivers... while staring them down... in a clean pocket... multiple times per game..., is flat out mind boggling for a 3 year starter.
I think he needs a sports psychologist.
But again, im optimistic against the Gators,.... but the love is fading slightly....

A running qb that can’t throw? How does that work?

One that actually CAN still get a first down under a heated pass rush our porous OL barfs up

It's pretty easy....Kelly and Denbrock need players to fit their scheme while great coaches fit their scheme to the players they have!

You do realize we have film on Myles playing in SEC games, right?

He averaged less sacks per game than Daniels.

Daniels is the worst QB in the SEC per sacks and ypa. Myles was the SEC leader in most categories. So, it doesnt get much more obvious than that, regardless of who is on the OLine

Fans were defintely lied to

* they went and found a QB to fit their scheme, not scheme to the athletes we already had
* there was no real QB competition. At this point anyone with a brain can see the job was promised in order to get the QB needed to fit their scheme
* No way in hell was the competition 1a and 1b. You dont leave points on the field, if 1b is likely to pick them up
* We will never see Nuss or Walker this year (or maybe next), because Les Kelly will not be shown that his philosophy is a huge failure in the SEC

This is a mystery. It reminds me of the way CLM handled QBs

Daniels sucks -- no doubt about it. But, you gotta admit -- he DOES protect the ball. Nuss and Howard would both have more turnovers right now.

Based on what? Garbage time vs Southern with backups for the backups playing? You have no idea. None of us do
Regarding this- it DOESN'T MATTER who else was on the field with Nuss at that point. He was in easy FG territory, and instead of taking a 2 yd loss he threw a pick 6.

We mistreated him. We should have played him over Burrow.

WE HAVE A WINNER

it’s disgusting that we paid $100M for this.

Also, you know there are ways to mitigate bad OL play with a pocket passer, right? There’s this thing called a hot route that JD seems incapable of calling out.

To be fair, some of that was self inflicted.

Kelly made a mistake. It’s that simple. Hopefully he won’t make it again.

Can we just shut the frick up about it. Hundreds of posts about the same fricking thing. We already know but this is who BK is riding with. Get over it.

Did you see the screenshots of 7 blocking 4 and Daniel’s running for no reason? Boutte could have hit his head on the goalposts. Every player was double teamed with zero pressure and it’s a TD with any other QB.

Is that a no?

Did you stop to consider that might be an indication the OL is worse this year than it was in 2020?
