How did Brian Kelly mess over Garrett Nussmeier?

People say he screwed Nuss. But how? It was Nuss ‘s last season, he had no confidence in Van Buren. Yes, Nuss was hurt, but you know Nuss wanted to play his senior year. What should Kelly have done?

By giving him a shitty offense and weapons.

Well Nuss getting hurt was no one’s fault. The team around him sucked, so I guess you could blame that on Kelly.

He was an awful coach and person.....and has no clue how to manage quaterbacks....the entire team for that matter.
Kelly was bad for every player on that team!

He hired Joe Sloan and had a shite offensive line. Nuss had many faults of his own but BK did him no favors

He didn’t.
If Nuss was good enough, he would have been drafted higher. I’m starting to think Nuss came back because his draft grades were what actually happened in this year’s draft.

BK sucked last year and deserved to be fired, but JD5 had the biggest improvement I've ever seen a QB have and won the Heisman, became the #1 NFL pick, etc. Most of that was due to work Daniels put in, but I do remember Kelly challenging Daniels to take more chances instead of being so careful with his passes. Daniels did that as 2023 went on and was much better for it. He challenged Nuss to use his feet and run more last year. Nuss refused. You can't blame Kelly for everything.

He was hurt and everybody knew he was hurt and could tell he was hurt. Instead of resting him after the Clemson game for a couple of three weeks he kept playing him. Does that answer your stupid question?

He gave him no protection, no balance on offensive play-calling and execution and poor game planning. Sucks he got hurt, but there was only so much that even a healthy Nuss could do with a shitty o line.
