re: Has anyone ever actually explained what the “fit” is here that Kelly seems to miss?

I finally understood the "fit" thing in his post game interview after Florida. CBK: "What do you want us to do, beat Florida 70 to nothing?"
YES!! with 5 turnovers.....If you can, YES!! lol
I'm not saying it should be the mentality, but it is. That 'screw you' mentality is LSU (and honestly SEC in general) football. In the SEC, just a win isn't satisfying.....you have to make a statement when you can. Every other SEC coach gets that. Are we happy with a win against Florida, sure.
But he would "fit in" more if that interview would've been more along the lines of......."We beat a fisty Florida team, and that's good. But I can't say we are happy with the bottom line. With 5 interceptions, that game should not have been remotely close. So we have to get better and clean things up."

re: Why are we assuming it is LSU students who are the ones involved in the shootings, etc?

It was around 5:15-5:30. We had just left the coliseum heading to the stadium and got caught up in the people scattering away from the grounds on the corner of stadium and highland.
I expect the downvotes and that's ok; I can handle it, but........
I completely agree that something is wrong with Nuss. He does not have the zip nor distance on his throws, which makes me think he is indeed injured. And while that doesn't exactly explain the bad decisions, anyone that's ever had a strength that is suddenly compromised should know that it will get in your head and affect decision making. That being said, for argument sake, maybe he isn't injured at all and he just isn't that dude.
If he's injured, I wholeheartedly agree we need to make a change and let Nuss recover.
However, my question is, to all the people that are convinced a change to MVB will save our season, what are we basing that on??? I truly think MVB as well as Colin Hurley will be great Tigers. But if we compare last season's numbers, I think everyone would take the stats Nuss put up. So that makes me think those people are looking at MVB's performance for the SLU game this season, which I thought he looked great. However, Nuss also looked like the Heisman candidate that we all were hoping for, during that game (with 4 dropped passes that if caught, he's next to perfect).
Again, if Nuss is hurt, we absolutely need to make a change until he's better. If he's not, maybe MVB truly is the answer. I just tend to want to believe that there's a reason he didn't beat out Nuss for the job in the first place. I'm not going to base my feelings on a game that both QB's looked like the #1 and #2 QB's in the SEC.
Downvote away!!!! lol

Has anyone heard anything on the health and/or possible return for Dan Borne'? Hoping he is doing well and will possible be back to public address announcing in death valley this season.

Yeah, but LSU didn't have a "26 game winning streak", so 96', 97', and 25' all must still suck, right?!? LMAO!!!
Agreed. The streak is over; stop talking about it. To quote Moneyball...........
“If you lose the last game of the year, nobody cares how much you won during the regular season. Great leaders do not confuse activity with accomplishment."
