just to be an arse I'm gonna say "it was 2008 not 2007" but to answer your question:

When Beanie Wells broke that run, my wife looked at me in the Superdome and "are we in trouble?"

I told her, "we got this, last year in the championship game they returned the opening kickoff for a TD and then got stomped 41-14!"

I had zero doubt and that was that!

Ginn wasn't on that team. He returned the opening kick against Florida the previous year before OSU blew that championship game. He was drafted in 2007. The run you're thinking of was Beanie Wells 65-yard TD run on the 4th play of the game.

If I remember correctly (lots of vodka), the first play from scrimmage, the center snapped the ball over our QBs head. It looked like a clown show for a quick minute, and then we got our mojo...

There have been certain teams where I wasn't worried about being down in certain games. 10-0 to Clemson in Jan 2020 Championship game was one of them. This was certainly another one where I wasn't nervous.

It was 10-0 in the BCS championship game but I still felt like LSU had it under control.

I was getting a little worried.

Still confident. I was in the stadium. I have to admit; my mood had been slightly dimmed at that point.

I was certainly worried as Wells broke free. We started sluggish and the snap over Flynn's head upped my anxiety to the moon Alice. Only reason I didn't go into meltdown mode is because we had indeed been down 10 multiple times throughout that season. Didn't really start to regain my confidence until RJF blocked the FG attempt. And then OSU began to implode like I had never seen before. I mean, complete meltdown featuring multiple bonehead penalties. Late hits, face masks, but the one that gave me the most confidence was on the blocked punt attempt. Dude somehow completely missed the ball on a gimme block, running into the kicker. Right then I began to realize that this might be our night.

It was too early for butterflies, when I saw the way we were manning up on their receivers and how collected Flynn was, not really too worried.

Paying $8 for a beer in the Dome was absurd at the time, that had me upset.

We had a couple games year where we were down by 10. Didn’t think it was a big deal

Too many offensive weapons to worry that much.

I was in the Dome. I was worried, but felt we would win the game still.

In 2007 I thought it was a fluke us being down 10-0 and it worked out quickly

In 2019 I was legitimately worried because we were pinned deep in our own territory and consistently going 3 and out given them a short field. That first quarter was rough. Once Joe threw the first long ball, all the nerves went away.

In the dome for both games.

I was stressed like a junkboat captain who couldn't swim in a sinking boat during a storm. My buddy went and got me two double vodkas. He handed them to me and I downed them quickly. That got my nerves under control and it took the edge off. The rest is history!

LSU spotted the early lead often in 2007..it was their modus operandi.

I bet Beanie Wells to score the first TD at like 7/1, and also picked LSU 37-23 on the TD pick thread..bet it hard at -2, 2.5, 3, it went to 4 then back to 3.5. Was there with the crew.

A store on Canal was fireselling $80 Ohio St 1X, 2X, and 3X pullover shells for $6 by midnight. Rahim Alem doing the stomp shirtless on Bourbon St, Les holding the trophy up on the balcony, etc..

It was a great night!
