re: How confident were LSU fans back in 2007 when Ohio State went up 10-0 early?

Wife and I were there. We sat amongst some great Tiger fans. Non of us were worried. Game was just getting started at 0-10.
Now, if I had been at home, I would have chewed my fingernails off. But in the Dome with the team and a bunch of fellow Tiger fans?? Nah. Never doubted them.
Oh. And when RJF blocked that FG attempt?? We lost our ever loving minds!!!!

I thought we killed their qb later in the game.
He was friends with a guy I knew from high school. Randomly ran into them at a bar and he saw my LSU shirt. Was pretty cool hearing him talk about that game. Most memorable parts were “I felt like they were playing with 13 on defense bc they were so much faster than anything else we saw all year” and “you ever been chased by 6’4” 280 lb guys you can’t outrun? Well it isn’t fun.”

I don’t remember if I was worried or not. Damn some of yall have amazing memories. What I do remember is that my favorite Aunt showed up at my house right before the game started and had it in her mind that I needed to help her redecorate my daughter’s bedrooms. She had new bedding and curtains and some other stuff for my girls.
She got upset when I told her any night but tonight. The national championship is on and LSU is playing!!
Eventually I walked a few houses down to my neighbors and left her alone decorating.
I have a fairly large family and we get together a bare minimum of once a month and all have a meal. 6-20 of us depending,
Heck 30 on real holidays.
She cooled down after a couple of months

I was a little annoyed but still confident we would win. Miles team’s weren’t always fast starters.

I felt okay after the RJF blocked FG

They had one freak play bc of defensive breakdown, but they never looked like they belonged on the field with LSU.

Ehh, not much was easy in 2007 apart from Va Tech Jacob Hester against Florida Demetrius Byrd against Auburn Chad Jones against Bama

My dad and I were at the gane sitting at the line in the stadium where LSU fans and Ohio St fans sat next to each other. When they went up 10, most of us were just laughing about it. Their fans were like, what the?? We said, apparently you haven't watched a single game of ours this year. As soon as we took the lead alot of their fans were saying, oh no not this again. Was quite funny.

I was at a friend's house. He asked me if I thought LSU was going to win. I told him , "yes. By double digits". Made a bet with him and other friends he had over. LSU won by double digits. I pocketed $300.

I watched the game in Dallas with some friends who ribbed me when OSU went up 10-0. I told them I wasn’t worried. We would come back and we did.

Did anyone else feel the same?
Absolutely.

I felt confident because that was Ohio states best shot and we ate it and ended the quarter down 10-3.
