I wear LSU shirts to the gym, grocery, etc and I’ve only gotten a few “Ready for the game?” Comments. Nothing malicious.

This isn’t a Bama level rivalry game for us and it’s not an Oklahoma or A&M rivalry game for them, so I expect there will the standard banter but nothing too serious.

Except for the occasional trashy folk

I went to Dallas last year and Miami fans were talking all kinds of shite before the game.... they left dragging gold chains with the echoing of “ TIGER BAIT!!!!”

Outside of the occasional 1 or 2 fights between some pussy frat boys, I don't see fans being "chippy". Most people are adults and can get together and even tailgate together like normal people.

nah, i think a large portion of students there dont even care about football anymore. Very liberal and very snow flakey.

I'd hope there won't be. I doubt either program or fan base aspires to have reputations of being trashy thugs. Austin ain't a bad town; the folks making the trip should have nothing but a good time while they're there.

They were as nice as can be at the baseball game until the end when they won and started throwing brooms around (to be fair we kind of deserved that)

I think it will be alright

Texas fans aren't that bad. Their delusion as a group about their place nationally is a bit out of hand, but that's alright. They're a historic program who are desperate to get back on the upswing. Can't fault them for that. In the stadium and around town, they are good people. I expect it to be a pretty competitive atmosphere but mostly friendly and welcoming. My family has deep longstanding roots in Austin, so I've been around Longhorns my whole life.

Sure, every fanbase has their clowns, but for the most part I think people making the trip to cheer for our Tigers will have a great time. Great food in Austin, good live music and bars, great city, historic stadium for the game, and of course a big win for LSU. Geaux Tigers!

Don’t know about all that. Texas fans from Austin are a bunch of girly men.
