I would love to have Briles but Houston does not play our schedule.

I would say Houston's talent compared to their competition is similar to LSU's talent compared to their competition

If Briles played LSU's schedule with Houston's players he might not do as well as he is now, but is that really a relevant comparison? I try to stay away from the transitive property, but for comparison - Houston scored 45 on Arizona; Oregon scored 15 on Arizona. 45 is also the most points scored on Arizona this year.

A lawsuit or criminal charges? He allegedly made some stupid statements, and if he did, deserves to be held accountable.

I agree our offense sucks! What bothers me is our defense, wear were they Saturday night ? LSU used to gang tackle, now they don't tackle. This whole season if they rapped up we would have beaten Florida! Hello Mr. defensive coordinator ??? Time to have a come to Jesus with your defense!!!!!

How many times does it have to be posted that the school wanted nothing to do with any briles or anyone associated with scandal

they also don't have our talent. It's all relative based on who you are and who you play.

He was also there at summer workouts and spring work outs which does make a big difference lot more reps. the people that bring up the Canada offense Danny Etling was a senior who was also on campus three years had a good relationships and timing with all receivers

so Ensminger has been there since 2014 or so. What’s your point Jimmy? Ensminger is not a good OC, didn’t want the job and only took it because Orgeron couldn’t get along with Canada -which COST US MORE MONEY IN THE LONG RUN HAD WE GOTTEN A CREDIBLE OC.

You think Bama wouldn't destroy Houston on talent alone ?

They went from 40th to 4th in total offense

40th to 4th in YPP

71st to 3rd in TDs.

Also Baylor beat Texas and Oklahoma with 3-2 stars

Right but how do you think LSU has beat teams the last ten years because it sure wasn't from scheme. Miles won the majority of his games on talent alone. Yes scheme is important but only against overly talented teams like Bama. LSU could probably beat every team in the BIG 12 and PAC 10 on talent alone.

I’d take 65th at this point

That would be a major improvement.

Name me the last year LSU went undefeated in the SEC on 'talent alone' -- hell, tell me the last time LSU went 7-1 in the SEC.

No, you can't win in the B12 / B10 / Pac-12 on talent alone. There are teams that have elite recruiting and elite coaches.

WE CAN HAVE BOTH TALENT AND SCHEME

Spread offenses are like money ball

Designed to mask deficiencies (lack of talent or money) but work even better without those deficiencies.

actually it’s guilt by his name being specifically linked to multiple lawsuits. some of which still aren’t settled.vright or wrong, that follows him until all is cleared.

To my knowledge, according to the Houston Chronicle, he's only been named in one lawsuit, not several:

"While Briles, 35, was not implicated in the scandal that cost his father's job, he was named in a pending lawsuit - one of several Title IX civil suits filed against Baylor - that alleges he tried to attract recruits by saying female students at Baylor liked the players."

Houston would at least score.

Therefore their odds of winning are greater than ours simply based on their ability to score.
