For me it was the Texas A&M game that others haver referred to. I think it 1992, because I specifically remember that was the one season I had seats in the north end. A friend of mine was a senior on that team. It was the season opener at 1:30 on ABC. They were literally packing people out of the stadium. The Tennessee Katrina game was very miserable no doubt. What made it so bad was that the air was stagnant, no wind at all. Then add the fact that the fans and team were so emotional with it being the first home game and everyone was so jacked. Then by the second half the fans and team were physically and emotional spent.

I was at that 2000 home opener mentioned in the op and it was hot, even though it started at 7 pm. They ran out of bottled water in the north endzone. The next week they started letting you bring sealed water bottles in.

personally it was:

2008 App State
2011 Kentucky
2013 Florida

Personally I enjoyed 2013 Florida the least on account of weather.

Wasn't at 08 app st or 05 tenn but I had 3rd degree sunburn on my freakin arms from Florida last year. Sat on the east 50 in direct sun light plus it was a pretty boring game. Stayed the whole game though

Plus, the humidity was horrible, the game was boring, and it seemed like the slowest clock ever.

I have been to some real bad ones at TS including tOSU-87, Auburn-97?, UK-2011 and they were all pretty dam hot.

However, nothing for me will ever top St Louis vs San Fran in Busch Stadium about 1980ish. It was a 1:00 pm game on the astroturf and it was 104 deg F. At that time StL kept a TurfTemp number on the scoreboard and it read 140 deg F. The players were rumored to be playing with alum foil in their shoes to reflect the heat out. The lines for the restroom were longer than the concession stands so you could get water to pour over your head. We were all wearing cutoff shorts and if your bare legs touched the plastic seats you were gonna get burned. Never seen anything like it before or since

I agree abt the 95 Florida game and the 94 Texas A&M game. Left early from both games. I got the worst sunburn of my life at the 95 Fla game. Like nuclear.

The Florida game was warm last season. But it wasn't terribly hot at all.

It shouldn't be mentioned at all.

I know fla last year wasn't the highest temperature for a game but, I don't know that I've ever been more uncomfortable and hot for a home game. for some reason, it was brutal.

No idea why people bitch about this one so much.

2005 Tennessee was Rita. It wasn't Katrina.
