I think people under estimate how much becoming a celebrity overnight can confuse a young mind. I feel the same for Manziel.

This guy was a sensational talent. Damn fun to watch. He had a nose for the ball and a motor and heart that just would not quit. If I remember correctly it was all about his not giving up his use of synthetic weed. Yes he was wrong. His sin was not so egregious in my opinion. He was not arrested or charged criminally, He did not murder anyone. He did not rape anyone. LSU pursued this drug testing to the nth degree. We are not talking about heroin, crank, etc. and he was not distributing drugs. Did LSU have to pursue this Well that is another question for another day. Fact is his leaving cost the team a shot at a championship. He was that good and that important to LSU winning. Ironic that today a prescription give you access to medical weed with little if any oversite. Kind of like throwing Will Wade under the bus for what is the norm in todays NIL environment.

Loved watching TM play and the honey badger name was perfect. He was awesome.
PP was the reason for him getting turned around at the Cards. I comment PP's parents or his mother for raising him right and then PP being selfless and seeing somebody that needs help and direction.

What was PP's last name coming out of high school? I remember him changing his last name.
When he had just committed to LSU, I was on the phone with a sales lady ordering coffee from Boca Java. My email address had LSU in it, and she said her good friends son just committed to LSU football. When she me told it was PP, I told her I know who he is and we are super excited about him being a Tiger.
But kudos to TM for turning into the man he is.

Agree but often times these are the hardest ones to overcome.

He knew where everyone was on the field, where the ball was and where it was going, even when not looking that way. One of LSU's greatest ever.

That inherent intelligence and help from others made him realize he had a better life ahead if he wanted it.

Proving that Honey Badger gets what he wants.

I respect the hell out of him.

He was smoking weed. Why are you putting his name with murderers and rapists?

Cecil Collins is probably the biggest "what might have been" story in LSU history

I can't think if anyone else who's a better poster child for the term "comeback". I'm glad it worked out for the dude. Wish the Saints weren't complete arse during his tenure.

Right. Now he can go to the local dispensary legally. You folks act like he kicked a heroin habit

right now, you can go to a gas staton and buy hard liquor.
and I know more than a few people who let that ruin their lives too.

Yep there still are good people in this world who do what is right without asking how it benefits them. They also do what right when nobody is looking. World good use more Patrick Petersons.
