Regardless of what side of this issue you’re on, Will Wade will coach again.

Do you think it would significantly affect fan & funding support.

Personally, I think I would be done. This has the same feel to it as the National Anthem issue with the NFL.

I will always support the Tigers, players, coaches and families. But I wouldn't spend another dime on merch until those arse holes are gone.

Yes and what quality coach would want to come here knowing how incompetent their bosses are and that they'd be quick to throw them under the bus publicly

It won't have the impact it would if this debacle were a football or baseball coach. I can't speak for others, but I won't spend another dime on LSU athletics til Alleva is gone.

Fan interest seems to wane every year, whether it's due to the frustration of parking, cost, convenience, etc. This seems to be everywhere. LSU seems to be significantly worse than most, and are usually tone deaf to fan complaints.

If this plays out as it looks like it will, things will only get worse in terms the feeling of an us versus them mentality between the LSU Athletic department and the fan/boosters. At some point fans will sit back, realize that college athletics at it's heart is just simple entertainment...and when then happens, it can easily be replaced by the numerous other entertainment products available.

LSU consistently taking this for granted is a dead end road.

Alleva has made it a zero sum game, and it’s him versus Wade, and he’s intent on winning.

Alleva isn’t working for the university. He’s working for Alleva.

So we should openly support cheating, and damn the admins for trying to keep the sanctions to a minimum? You should be done. Please move along.

For hoops, the fan support has been abysmal going back two decades even through the Brady era.

Attendance wasn't that great this year to begin with.
It got better towards the end with the team's success but majority of SEC games still had empty seats at the top.

It appears that you have no grasp on the nuance of the situation. Or you're just an admin sycophant. Either way, you aren't able to have an actual conversation about this. You should be done. Please move along.

So, based on this, you would support Clemson suspending Dabo Swinney? I mean, there's been a couple stories suggesting that Clemson cheated. I think at least one comes from a more reputable agency than Yahoo Sports.

And to clarify- suspend right now, because a story came out. Not wait until all the information comes out and make a reasoned and informed judgement. Set up a lynch mob meeting with NCAA personnel sitting in, call Swinney in, and have the suspension ready the moment he says "hey wait a minute, that's not the way I'm doing this".

Just pointing out: there's potential negative stories on every program, and while Dick Vitale ran his mouth about the LSU one, we're talking about excerpts from an unreleased FBI wiretap that nobody in the media has actually heard themselves. In other words, unsubstantiated.

That’s because they know that in spite of declining fan interest, there’s a significant segment of the fan base that are economic slaves to the purple & gold.

It’s going to take a sizable portion of that segment rebelling by ceasing to spend money, as well as the big money donors drying up to effect any sort of real change.

Until such time as that happens, they’ll occasionally throw the fanbase/alumni crumbs (that really don’t mean anything nor cost them anything) to appease us.

In short: STOP SPENDING YOUR MONEY WITH THESE ASSHOLES.

Wonder how many have sent in their renewal for football season tickts. This alone speaks if people support Alleva or not.

TAF contacted me asking for another donation and I replied telling them I will not donate another penny until Joe Alleva and F. King Alexander are gone, hopefully others are taking the same route and TAF may can put some pressure on LSU

If you travel 50 ft off campus nobody gives a flip about college baseball, save a handful of schools. A baseball coach would never get caught up in this like Will Wade has because there is no where near the competition among schools for players like there is in hoops. I root for LSU baseball, but I would trade EVERY RUN we have scored in the history of the program to beat maryland tommorrow, then get BLOWN OUT by msu next friday, and I think the majority of LSU fans agree with me.

So 138 let me get this straight? You seriously think this vitriol is ONLY about the Wade situation? If thats the case then this is all over your head and you need to just stop posting about adminstrative-fan relation threads.

you do realize that Wade is on tape, twice, offering to pay players?

Alleva's trying to minimize the inevitable hammer from the NCAA. And his coach won't claim he's innocent or explain it to him.

I'm no fan of Alleva, but he doesn't have much other choice here.

I'm just shocked this board is so blinded by winning that they don't get it.
