They are illegal in NFL. I did not notice Auburn doing that but Lane brought it up. When did those occur?

You’d have to go watch the tape, but they were happening against Green often. Not sure if it was because size disparity or just Auburn being dirty.

I didn't notice hip drops but I did notice a lot of ankle twisting and dirty rolling over players to try and hurt their ankles

I saw several and was thinking about the rule watching it live. Didn't realize they were still legal in college.
1 on Harris and 1 on Green for sure. I think I picked up on those because they both had previous lower body injuries and was thinking please let them get up fine, and both did.

I saw at least one. Trey’Dez is also an outlier to tackle. I’m not sure it was intentional, but it is damgerous nonetheless.

Oh yeah, I saw the first catch i think Green caught. Shallow crossing, i belive it was an Auburn LBer. When he tackled Green. I thought that could have broken his leg and it was the same tackle that ED Reed used to do that got the collar tackle banned in NFL. But the Auburn guy grabbed middle of back and not collar.

It was hard to miss when Green had the ball. Also noticed it against the RBs.

It's not really a surprise that DJ Durkin teaches guys to intentionally injure opponents.

I don't think it was dirty by intent but since they're legal, they are about the most effective way to bring someone of that size down from behind.

We definitely saw it a few times on his early catches. Made me tense every time.

Auburn plays dirty? Years go by and players and coaches change but this is one thing that never changes.....

A hip drop tackle? When did they make this one up? How many more styles of tackling are they going to make illegal?

Hip drop tackles are not illegal in CFB. Lane can fuss but nothing illegal was done.

I heard Lane mention them doing that to TDG, didn't go back and watch yet but remember him reacting funny to one of the tackles. I def made a mental note that on Harris' first TD that in my estimation, that was a hip drop and had an awkward spin to the ground on that play and I was hoping nothing came of it.

I think that's his point in mentioning it. They should be illegal in CFB too

Disagree. There’s already too much legislation on how defenders can play defense.
