Once the clock hits 0:00 you can see multiple people heaving oranges onto the field. One guy in particular, in a green shirt and wearing glasses, and right in front of the camera, gets pegged in the back right as he releases his final orange. Hilarious reaction. That portion is rewound and replayed in slo mo as the look on his face at the moment of contact is priceless.

My first home game. Tiger Stadium is now a shadow of what it used to be. Complete drunken mayhem at that game.

31-28. I was at both of those games in the Student Section.

That one brunette looks exactly like a girl I knew in college. But she was 6 years old in 1982 so it isn't the same person.

I was thinking the same thing. The girl with the bangs in the beginning looks just like a woman who lives in BR today, whose initials are SM. But she would have been too young in 1982 - probably about 6 or 7.

My first game as a student! Remember it like it was yesterday. Total mayhem. I saw a cop shove a girl to the ground on the field, and a dude just posted the cop square in the face knocking him out cold. I'll never forget seeing the cop's hat drop straight to the ground like he just disappeared or something. The other cops jumped all over the guy hitting him with batons. Naval oranges were raining down everywhere. Also saw a cheerleader get doubled over by an orange incoming from the top seats in the student section. It was a wild game and fun times....like many at LSU. I lived in Kirby and North Stadium right across from the PMAC.

Dec. 5, 1970: LSU 61, Ole Miss 17

I was at LSU and Archie was Ole Miss quarterback. This was the first game that oranges flew on the field. It was something!

Can't imagine the scalping act happening in today's world.

Looks like a wardrobe malfunction as the Seminole reaches down with his hand to cover up, also crosses his leg...lol

Great stuff.

I consider that game the pinnacle of my time in the student section and you can see why.

I am probably in that clip. I am on vacation right now looking at my cell phone. When I get home to my big computer I will examine it more closely.

The post game interview was noteworthy in that Stovall was being interviewed by the daughter of the person who fired him. I am sorry it didn’t work out for Stovall. Great guy.

Weak sauce on the goalposts. We tore them down vs Fla 10-11-97 with the quickness.

I was a sophomore sitting in the student section. That’s the craziest game I’ve ever been to.

How did a service like Tigervision even work in 1982?

I remember literally having to go to Cox, or even 7-11 (yes, the gas station/convenience store) to pick up a cable box to watch tigervision games. Then return it on Monday.

Freshman year for me. Unbelievable game with Risher / Eric Martin / Dalton having a field day with FSU. I think one drive Hilliard carried for 12 plays straight. Then the fog rolling in and of course the oranges.

The majority of these fans are in their sixties now.

I was 20 at this game and now.....62.

It was a wonderful beat down on Bowden.

And we lost to Tulane the next week. UGH

I was at the Tulane game the next week with my grandfather. I was 9 and about as disappointed as a kid could be. I threw all my plastic cups away and remember my grandfather stopping to pick them up and I told him to leave them. How can you beat FSU like a drum one week and lose to Tulane the next?
