Fournette had Guice to back him up when LF was injured. This year Guice has Williams to back him up when DG was injured. Big drop off.

The OLine was the big difference. Our OLine got pushed around the entire first half of the year. How is that Canada’s fault? We had three freshmen playing for crying out loud.

We lost Dupree from last year. He’s playing Sunday for the Bills.

Funny you laugh at Etling’s physical ability but don’t give his qb coach and OC any credit for making him a pretty fair qb this year.

It's not about Canada, none of these fricksticks had anything good to say about Canada during the season. It's just a reason to shite on O.

And you all keep defending Canada. Your expectations are very low. Looks like the jet sweeps and motion offense really tore it up this year. 53 teams did more paying much less.

I don't understand the thought process from people like you, OP. Matt Canada did not acquire a ready to go offense. He acquired some pieces, but he mostly had a limited talent all over the place. QB was limited, receivers were limited, OL was broken.

I don't care who Orgeron hired, there's not a single coach in America who would have came in and had even a say, top 20-30 offense. That was never realistic. Yet you morons want to criticize the guy for not making a miracle.

Wait. It bothers you that O hired an OC that had the 54th best offense.

But doesn’t bother you that Alleva hired a 10-25 career guy as HC?

exactly. canada had already proven he could run a successful offense.

O hadnt proven he could run a successful side of the ball, let alone a successful program

Pretty sure many of us warmed on Canada as the season went on. Especially beating Auburn

When you hire the losingest coach in your oldest traditional rival as your head coach, that kind of goes without saying.

With previous OC's we saw a decline in performance as the season went on...Canada's offense got better and better overall.

Offensive rankings have a lot more to do with pace than with effectiveness. We have to see much more advanced stats to evaluuate. By the eye test, I was very satisfied with LSU’s offense. I expected it to take a few games to get the system down. The second half of the year we only lost to Bama, and our offense looked better against them than it has in a few years.

Right

Young OL, Shitty QB and injured Guice = excuse for O

Young OL, Shitty QB and Injured Guice = Canada Sucks

It’s a perfect system where O can never be blamed for anything.

O is on the OC
D is on the DC
Motivation is on the players
Recruiting is on the assistants

I agree. He had a weak schedule against weak defenses and wasn’t super impressive in my opinion. I still say keep him because he did dial up some plays that were wide open
