One of the best compliments I can give White, is that I don't believe there is any chance at all he "completely shuts it down to protect himself". Despite seeing it first hand blow up on Key, I believe he doesn't have in any him to play anything but the best he possibly can at all times.

My goodness. Your Orgeron hatred has no boundaries. Its people like you who have just about sucked the life out of this board. A guy makes a post about Devin White and there you are to tell everyone its a fluke since Orgeron is coach.

Orgeron may turn out to be the worst coach after Curley Hallman. But I have no idea why in May people like you have to make sure every single post is about how much you hate Orgeron. He wasn't my first choice either, but good night, he will coach in 2018 so I hope LSU does well. Why you all but brag about wanting LSU to go 3-9 is beyond me.

Yeah he did, but for a dalliance with a young lady and a DA that is a big LSU fan guess where he was going?

“I hope he comes out hungrier then ever after Quentin Nelson took him to school in the bowl game”. Lester Earl

Just googled the highlights and wow. That dude is tough. Needed some d-linemen to help out there.

He was better as a sophmore than Roquan was this past year and that’s saying something. He’s going to be an all-timer this year because anyone who knows him knows he’s not shutting anything down to protect himself.

He’s also going to have a ton more support on the DL. We have 2 or 3 defensive linemen that will require double teams and/or RB support to block, so that should really free up Devin White.

He’s going to have a very special year.

Sidenote: I think Chaisson is going to be a demon out there as well.

wrong. take off your purple glasses. White gets washed out far easier than Patrick Willis did. They're probably pretty close as far as coverage, where they both have been lacking.

He has all the physical skills in the world (except maybe height), but this is what sets him apart. He's seems to never get tired. He chases guys all over the field...all game long and seems to be just as explosive in the 4th quarter as he is in the 1st. LSU has had several good LB's over the years, but I can't remember anyone faster once they made up their mind where to go. He flies through the LOS like he was shot out of a cannon

Same exact height/weight and 40 time as Roquan Smith who went top 10. They are almost clones and play the exact same way. Drastically devin has had better years than RS. He will be drafted just as high or better and will be a stud from day one in the league.

Nope. While BDP was the LBer coach during Devin's high school recruitment, I don't remember anyone in Springhill nor North Webster HS mentioning anything about BDP. At the time, Devin was being recruited as a RB; in fact, he was the only RB we recruited that year. Coach Ensminger made many trips to Springhill and was well liked by the folks here who met him. Coach Wilson had multiple trips, especially late in the process. I believe Les Miles was also here at least once. I don't recall Peveto being involved at all.

ETA: This part of LA was the responsibility of Coach Ensminger at the time.

Rivals has BDP as the recruiter, it’s possible that it’s wrong

I just saw the post above that panned Brooks because of his pro draft and performance. That poster does not realize the extent of Brooks’ injury. He was nearly a Lawrence Taylor level talent before the injury.

That was me and GTFO. I loved Michael Brooks. He was a tackling machine. A real thumper with a little speed to go with it. LT is the greatest pass rushing LB in history. The list of LB's that can even be mentioned in the same breath with LT is very short and Michael Brooks was never anywhere close to being on that list.

There are some guys that I feel like gave less than their all in their junior seasons because they knew where they were headed after. I’m not the least bit concerned about that from White, and that feels really good.

Coming from Rivals, the info should automatically be suspect. At the time of Devin's recruitment, I think BDP's recruiting was Houston, TX area. Never saw or heard of him in Springhill.

We can’t afford to lose White at LB as much as y’all want to see him carry the rock, it’s not going to happen. We will be fine at RB though.

we are fine at RB but if the game is on the line and we need a first down or TD in a short yardage situation we should give the ball to Devin White to punch it in. Plus it could put up for Heisman consideration if we have a good season and he does it enough times.
