I have full confidence in White’s ability, but I’m not sure it’s worth the risk at all. Bad things sometimes happen at the bottom of piles.

It's probably something the staff should discuss with Devin White himself about. Go over the risks involved and see how he feels about it. It could really benefit the team and possibly Devin himself if he were to decide it was something he wanted to take a shot at doing.

with the DL we are going to have this season, freeing up White more to make even more big plays and put up bigger stats, it would really get him some national exposure if he were to also punch in some runs for TD's in some short yardage situations. Especially if the team gets off on the right foot with some big wins early in the season.

If he makes dominant plays on D against Miami with big defensive stats and punches the ball in for a rushing TD against them, it could get his name in the Heisman consideration talk, if the team as a whole gets a win over MIami and performs like they belong in the NC conversation

We are going to disagree greatly in terms of our expectations for this season. So because of that, there is no way White should be playing any snaps on offense, imo. I can guarantee that White wouldn’t trade millions as a top 5 pick for a shot at the Heisman.

A guy makes a post about Devin White and there you are to tell everyone its a fluke since Orgeron is coach.
Are you serious?

Look at my post history. Look on the 1st page where I said Devin White was comparable to Patrick Willis.

You see the Florida gifs of the 1st page? I’m the one who made those when I was doing a Devin White appreciation thread last year.

Devin is not a fluke. Devin is the best LB to ever where purple and gold but Orgeron gets no credit for Devin being on campus, he also gets none for the development of Devin.

Want people to stop complaining about O? Sack up and win some fuching games.

Would love to see a scouting report or some fun carries this year like Myles Jack did his last year in college.

Myles Jack carried the ball more his freshman year than any other time.

I’ve had the same thought about Devin but it would be devastating to our Defense if he went down with an injury and guys would try to go low on Devin. Last thing we need is someone taking out our best players knees.

Rivals has BDP as the recruiter, it’s possible that it’s wrong
It just depends on who Les assinged Devin to. Frank was the RB coach and BDP was the North LA recruiter but after they lost Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones in ‘14 they started recruiting more specific to the player and not such a blanket strategy.

No, Ensminger was the North LA recruiter. Peveto recruited TX. Ensminger made multiple recruiting trips to Springhill. I don't recall anyone in Springhill ever seeing Peveto. Later in the process, once Devin had become our only RB recruit, Coach Wilson became more active w/ multiple trips to Springhill, especially when rival coaches were showing up from AL and AR.
