Ha, also shows why win-loss is a very flawed way to judge a pitcher.

That was a good pitch. He just went down on one knee and caught it just right. Hell of a hit.

Plus he only got 1 earned run by giving up the grand slam. Brilliant!

I said the same thing. Wasn't a bad pitch. It was a damn good hit.

Ben was concerned when Hess came in that he didn’t have enough warmup time. He settled in nicely

I thought it was a great pitch. That pitch will get whiffed at 70% of the time and fouled off 20% of the time. That is probably the only time in his college career that it will end up in the bleachers. I hope he can throw that same pitch on 2 strike counts from here on out.

He brought the stank tonight. Looked awesome. Excited for the rest of the postseason after what I’ve seen from the arms so far.

I was there sitting with my son when he said, “ do you remember the last game of the AU series on Sr day?” Then he hit it out. I told him to never say anything like that again.

Had you said, "so he could frick up Peterson's ERA," the joke would have been slightly better and more believable.

So Hess is going for a win every time he sees the mound?

Grand slams are rally killers.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

Good one. I appreciate humor. Some here do not. And you know, that pitch wasn't too bad. Homeboy did a fine job linedriving that ball out the yard. I was still cussing Peterson. He loaded the bases with some sh*t pitching, looked wreckless. But I felt bad for him; I like him, great tiger, just has bad outings sometimes. We're very fortunate to have overcome it.

You mean to tell me that giving up 4 runs in one swing sucks? Tell me more.

ON PURPOSE? .. are some of you complete idiots ?
oh wait, YES, I can see by the comments.

The pitch was one that would normally get someone out, or become a ground ball.....the batter made a helluva play.

He could get that exact same pitch over 100 times and not catch that SLAM!
It was a great hit, but a lot more LUCK!
