Man the frick up! We lost that game. Bad…to the better team on that day. Miles was out coached. Never could adjust. Bad game plan. Jordan was awful but Lee wouldn’t have been any better.
Ok St. would’ve probably been the same result but a better score. But let’s say(since everyone likes to play the what if game on this date) LSU does play OK St., how sure are you that Miles would’ve had them ready to BEAT them? We barely beat Arkansas thanks to TM7 and same with Georgia.

Just imagine if the situation was reversed, and we had lost to Bama 9-6 --- this board would be SCREAMING that we were the second best team and deserved to be in the playoff because it was an OT loss to the no. 1 team.
But anything involving Bama causes this board to lose all rational perspective.

That 12-0 on the scoreboard was awesome

Sure, no doubt Bama was the better team.
But did Bama earn a shot at the NC?
Logically, just looking at the season’s results, there should have been no NC game. LSU was the only undefeated team left. The regular season did an exquisite job of determine the champion. The tacked-on NC game was not necessary to figure it out.

And I think LSU wears Okie St. D down with the punishing running game. Alabama was literally the only team that year that slowed down LSUs rushing attack.

Alabama essentially received a Bye by losing to LSU at home while Okie State didn't get the benefit of losing on the road on a weird Thursday night when they just received word of a plane crash seconds before kickoff. And Okie State destroyed OU in Bedlam.
