Well why wasn't he playing last year if he so "vulnerable"? (what ever that means)

We don't need a "savior" at QB. What Mett does will be good enough if we improve at OL and WR. Our D will do the rest.

Completely agree. Mett has made poor decisions and has costly turnovers. If/When he figures it out we will be a juggernaut.

So far, Mett has been a little sketchy, but I expected exactly that. He is still thinking out there instead of just reacting. There will come a turning point where it will look like he has turned a switch and he will start playing at an All America level. I'm guessing it will be early in the 3rd quarter at the Swamp. I can hear Danielson now with the cliche'..." We're witnessing this young man grow up right before our eyes." I can see Mett dropping a three TD 3rd qtr down on the Gators.

Then, all of the "experts" will say that they saw it coming all along.

Mett has been good. He just needs the WRs to catch better.

We've also got the most upside with a few tweaks.

This. Definitely.

The worst thing that could have happened for Florida, USCe, and Bama was the Auburn game. It gives this team something to rally around and I fully believe that we roll through October/early November.

Mett's gonna be a star cause of the tools hes got but it may take a little time. and vulnerable? we dont center our offense round him so thats buncha shite. Bet we could beat some teams without throwing a single pass tho!

Time will tell... I have a feeling the LSU nation is going to be very disapointed after this year with the high expectations on Super mett before seeing him play...

This comment is clearly very open ended so it's up to your own personal interpretation what you think it means. What everyone is concerned about is the chase for the national championship. From that perspective, I agree that we are the most vulnerable because our remaining schedule is the most difficult. Using the current AP rankings, we have yet to play from our schedule:
#1 Alabama
#6 South Carolina
#12 Florida
#19 Miss State
And if we make it to the SEC Championship Game, there's a good chance we could meet #5 Georgia. No other team in the hunt for the National Championship Game a remaining schedule that's so demanding.

Kirk Herbstreit says a lot I don't agree w/, but this time I agree w/ him.

Perhaps Mett should learn this technique, and Les should call more of these plays?

Disagree.

Just reminds me of last season. First SEC road game.. LSU still dominates the opposition.

Exactly. Mett just needs to make good decisions and not put the team in a bad position. LSU doesn't "need" a human highlight reel at QB.

An unfortunately accurate statement. Mettenberger has a long way to go. His performance so far has been very suspect.

Herbstreit has probably gotten an e-mail from Game Day's producers telling him not to put LSU on upset alert against Towson.

The Mettenberger comments are valid. The "vulnerable" comment is stupid.
