They were talking LSU and Burrow and he said you need to watch the receivers especially Jefferson. He is unbelievable.

Technically Espn said he runs a 4.88. Didn’t someone somewhere show that’s what they had documented that Jefferson ran that as a recruit?

Herbie catches a lot of shite on here but he is very knowledgeable and generally pretty complimentary about LSU

You can be slow as dogshit and still be a HOF receiver so long as you can run perfect routes, catch the ball no matter what, and can always force separation. Speed just helps withe separation and after the catch yards.

Makes you trust the coaches evaluation when they offer 3 star kids over bigger names.

That’s a myth. Jerry was fast.

True. I don't know what his field speed is, but after that 17-yard catch last week on 3rd down, I didn't see anyone catch him for the 40+ yards he ran before hitting the end zone. I haven't seen his field speed be an issue at any time.

I'm a fan too but Marshall is one of the smoothest receivers I've ever seen on any team.

Jerry Rice had what we refer to as Football Speed. Jefferson has the same attributes as far as having Football Speed. Meaning they wouldn't invite him to run the 4x100 relay on LSU Track Team, but when put in game situations on a football field, no one will catch him from behind.
