Our company is raising premiums by $200 a month and doubling our deductible. What the hell. This isnt sustainable.

A little more context is needed. Raising it 200 from what? What was deductible and what is it now? Did you add family members?

It wasn’t meant to be. Single payer is the goal.

Congratulations, you get to pay for all the Odumbf*ck voters who would rather spend their money on rims, nails, and weaves. This is what Odumbf*ckcare was set up for and what it’s all about.

Obamacare was the most disastrous piece of legislation in modern history. So much damage was done to our health care system.

Easy there, Karl Marx. You know as well as I do that this country was founded as an economic zone and the best choice always in every situation is whatever makes the red line go up the most. It's your moral imperative to pick up the tab for illegals who are paying nothing so corporations can suppress wages and increase prices.
If you don't like paying a second mortgage for healthcare, move to China.

It was designed to fail. All the while Obama gets paid millions each year for his own commission under the legislation we had to pass to be able to see what it included.

I own my own company and work for myself. I have a silver level plan. It's $700 a month. But I have a secondary that's $250. I then have another $1500 in monthly expenses with treatments and co-pays. Then in to of that I have two payment plans for hospital strays that I'm very slowly paying at $100 each a month.
I don't qualify for the ACA Co pay.
Worse yet. In a few months I'm being forced into Medicare A&B but that will only cover 80% then I need anther insurance but I'm told I'll save money.
Meanwhile I randomly get bills for when the insurance plays games and it's slow to pay claims. .
But it's still better than alternatives. Like dying or paying oop or sitting in er for hospital visits.
Anyone here sell insurance? I'm looking to switch to a good secondary and a new primary.

yeah this is the cost i have said for years that is robbing people's retirement. many who cannot afford to contribute anymore to a 401k or IRA because of this.
I have a private plan through my self owned company which still costs a fortune because the one my wife had at the hospital was even worse.
Then if you go look at the government exchange it is even much worse. which makes me feel a little better. however, None of this is affordable or fair for most people. What do you do if you make too much for medicaid but cannot afford these premiums?
People are crying about gas prices, this is what most should be rioting over. healthcare premiums! They cost me way more than any gas prices do.
health insurance was dirt cheap under bush/clinton. This shite is nothing more than wealth redistribution. Didn't poors get mediaid and free emergency rooms as it was? was all this shite for people with pre-existing conditions? or just to help more leeches milk the system?
most plans for one person are not too bad. once you pay for a couple or family it shoots through the roof.

Don't they have medicaid? No one has ACA credits anymore.

i'm self-employed, and it's truly insane what we pay for insurance and still get bills for things that should be covered without deductible or "co-insurance" (an absurd misnomer to begin with--they should just be honest and call it no-insurance). It technically isn't worth my time to fight a $300 mammogram bill (100% covered under the plan) because "providers" and "insurance" can't seem to get their coding right [part of the scam], but i do it out of principle. and my ultimate fall back is: sue me.

weren't wealthy or retired people getting these "subsidies' because it was all based on "earned" income, and not passive or investment income?
so people not technically "working" could have a shitload of money but because it was all from capital gains, dividends, rental income, etc, it was not considered? I had all 3 above but i made way too much earned income to even think about getting a subsidy.

The biggest crooks in America wear suits and ties and rob you with a pen.

i'll only go to the doctor if i feel like i'm dying or if i break a bone. i refuse to pay outrageous prices when i'm already being robbed close to 9k a year for a family plan. i get to pay 9k a year just to find out im partially covered when i visit a doctor.

Welcome to the world of rampant medical fraud, military disability fraud and medical malpractice.
Someone has to pay for it and it might as well be us.
Military disability fraud has gone off the rails. I know several who get 100%....not one is "disabled".

We have to pay all of the unpaid premiums from people that don't have insurance. The whole health industry is broken beyond repair. I don't know what the fix is, but consumers are goimg to continue to float it until it sinks. I honestly think the only way to fix it is to break it completely. Everybody needs to opt out of health insurance, everybody. Just pay out of pocket every time.

H'mmm, 4 of us, two older, two younger (just and about to be married) were discussing our insurance two days ago.
$10 increase / month. Yes, last year was higher... but your experience is NOT happening everywhere.

There are millions of republicans in red states on the ACA, we know this, scoreboard my dude.
The other dead giveaway, Trump has passed one meaningful piece of legislation this term (OBBB) and NOBODY on the right wants to talk about. In peak election season, no less.
Many of those healthcare cuts haven’t even kicked in yet. It’s going to get worse.

Maybe they're spending it on Skoal, truck parts, and MAGA hats.
