He wins largely due to the superior talent he's been blessed with. He's a mediocre coach at best and he's outlived his usefulness at LSU. If he doesn't at least get us to the SECCG, he needs to be shown the door at the end of the season. Hopefully, those in the LSU administration are already at work behind the scenes preparing a list of possible candidates to replace him.

IF he would leave the OC alone. Which thank God he has finally done.
the problem is, we don't know this with any certainty. Maybe he gets the itch in a game or two and thinks he's got it all figured out.

I think I've seen that movie already.

"Luckiest coach in cfb history"? He's won the most games in LSU's history in the toughest league in the country. That does not happen by luck
No, but inflated schedules with plenty of rent-a-wins helps.
Cholly Mac wishes he could have had more of both.

Louisiana talent hasn't always pulled its weight on our roster lately.
That's because of lot of it is in Tuscaloosa, winning championships.

you and me define "(a) lot" differently

I have a lot of complaints about Miles, but I do think he's kept the fence up around Louisiana.
My worry is, that could start to change quickly.

Saban?
Nick is one of the 2 best in college football and coaches in the toughest conference....so, no.

Harbaugh
He has won bout 70% while coaching in 2 conferences below the SEC. He won with Luck as his QB as I recall some of the time. I wouldn't say no to Haubaugh, but what has he really won? That's a close call for me till he has some college hardware.

You can see it in the current recruiting cycle since the WISC loss. Don't really see/hear about anyone 'talking LSU'.... Sure we have 20 verbals, and hopefully they ALL stay that way....but as we look to fill those last 5-7 spots, especially with LB's....why LSU? Things are quiet, LSU targets are talking to other programs, planning visits, etc. LSU leans/interests...could be looking elsewhere. Just don't hear LSU chatter on 247 and other sites...
I think unless we finish 10-2 (reg season) or better, it is going to be hard to close out this class. Then IF you don't make a change next season....same cloud of uncertainty hangs over the entire program. We will find ourselves in a tough spot IMO for recruiting going fwd...and you know other HC's are making light of it in living rooms across the country....

I don't think anyone can deny that recruiting has saved Miles' job.
That and his 114-33 record.

You spew diarrhea from your mouth and fill boards with irrelevant commentary because you can't articulate a coherent response in support of your claims. This is because you are a troll and a sycophant, and a poor troll at that.
Im not trolling dumbass. Stating facts about Miles tenure sends you football ignorant posters into a frenzy.
Im sorry you dont know shite about cfb.
Again, what has you unacceptance of lsu's level of success achieved? Are you so football ignorant that yoh actually think constantly shitting on lsu and its staff makes a difference?
I may want a new head coach but i wont be so ignorant to say Miles is abad coach.
My claims? Are you under the ignorant assumption that Miles is not the most successful coach in lsu history?
Are you under the ignorant assumption that we arent 2nd in the sec in wins since 2012?
My claims are facts dumbass. Deal with it. Anytime youd actually like to debate scheme we can do that. Until then keep thinking your constant shitting on lsu somehow means you wont accept what level of success lsu achieves.

spare me the Harbaugh hype until he has the hardware that Miles has earned.
Lol. Harbaugh won at the
Highest level and turned an academic institution into a top 10 college football program. Miles has officially burnt down what Saban built here. Lsu is now an average program under his leadership. Miles is a below average coach that can recruit very well: a recipe for average. Dan Patrick is spot on.

Who respected a team that lost 21 games in 4 years? All he did was carry on what Simmons did. Gundy turned it into a respectable program
They had 1 winning season from 1988- until the time miles was hired.
Miles had winning seasons 3 out of 4 years.
Youre the same kind of poster that says Saban left miles a top 5 program when lsu has 1 top 5 season in 2 decades.

THE LAST 5 YEARS
Miles has lost 15 games and 12 conf games
SABAN'S tenure at lsu
16 losses and 12 conf losses
Please explain how a better win loss record is worse.
My god we have the most football ignorant posters.
WHAT KIND OF MATH ARE YOU USING WHERE 15 LOSSES IN 5 YEARS IS DESTROYING THE LEGACY OF 16 LOSSES IN 5 YEARS?
Sabans tenure had 2 top 15 finishes in 5 years.
The last 5 years we have 3 top 15 finishes.
Please explain how our last 5 years is destroying a worse 5 year stretch.

Saban had some of the most talented lsu teams ever, idiot. Do i really need to list all the future nfl players he had in his 1st 3 years?
Look im all for a chnage at head coach but to say Miles is a bad coach is ignorant as frick. Auburn recruits like us and so does a&m. Why have we dominated those teams if its no coaching? Since his hire no program more ranked teams than lsu. You dont do that without coaching.
The reason we see lsu as underachieving recently is because of Miles coached teams. Not saban.
Miles has as many top 5 finishes as Saban, Mac , and Dietzel combined.not Saban.
I mean if Harbaugh and Saban are the only HC that recruit and coach well then every other coach is bad in cfb. They 2 of the 3 best coaches in cfb.

Harbaugh has been to a Super Bowl that trumps anything miles has done.
